"Christina has a love for all things vintage." photographer Krys told me when she sent over Christina & CW's engagement session. "She says, "if it looks old, I love it", so we were on the same page with the idea of old buildings, rust, chipped bricks, and whatever else we could find in DeLand, FL where we had their engagement shoot. Christina and CW are definitely an amazing couple to work with. Not only were they down for anything I threw at them, they were amazing models as well (they also didn't mind at all when I dropped an F-bomb or two). Christina wore a cute red swing dress with a sweet heart top and electric blue wedges (later some vintage white wedges with an ankle strap). Too cute. CW, or C-Dub as I have nicknamed him, wore a western shirt and cowboy boots. This shoot was inspired by The Notebook, the south, and turning an ugly setting into prettiness."

Las Vegas strip, yellow sundress love, tattooed back gorgeousness. Monique & Dustin were already married but they acted as models in Vegas for a WPPI 'shoot out' and luckily for them one of the photographers was the fabulous NJ based Feuza Reis. I love the epic sunshine in these shots, mirrored by their yellow outfits.

Allie & Patrick's engagement was designed around the idea of balance and contrast. They decided to go for two different looks "One, a very warm, vintage-y, backlit and natural look with texture and colors like yellows, browns and whites, and the second, very cool, city street, look with lots of blues, turquoise and blacks! photographer Rhys explained. "The idea and challenge was to shoot both looks similarly in terms of composition, but come out with two very different looking sessions, so that they could be displayed side by side allowing the contrasts to really play off of each other. Allie and Patrick loved it because it allowed them to show off all aspects of their personalities; both are incredibly stylish, but also love to just be ridiculous and have fun."

Angela & Jonard's shoot took place at Griffith Park in LA and Angela had the most amazing little dresses made from an Arizona clothing designer Monique Martinez of OUMA Clothing.

Oh baby, you are going to love these! Heidi & Rick's retro engagegement session just oozes 50's and 60's kitsch cool. Heidi wore a dress that she actually bought from GAP about 9 years ago and added the apron that she made herself. The show may also have been a little bit stolen by Ginger the cocker spaniel however!

Mindy & Ben of Studio 6.23's photo session with the fabulous Amelia Lyon makes me so happieeee! Anyone thank knows me will be well aware what a colour fiend I am and so when I saw this I knew it was perfect for a-featuring! "Mindy emailed me to set up the session a few months prior" Amelia explained. "When Justin and I met them at WPPI, we had a blast getting to know them as bright, playful, hilarious, photogenic, and super cool people to hang with!"

Kim & Josh's springtime engagement shoot took place at Meridian Hill Park in Washington DC. The leaf bouquet Kim & Josh had made from a cutting of a plant they were growing it in a vase. When photographer Levi, ran the idea of having flowers play a part in the shoot, instead of going out and buying cut flowers, they all thought it would be great to use a plant that they plan to grow for a long time...almost like a symbol of their love.

Rebecca & Michael wanted a French/Hollywood vintage glam style shoot to signify their engagement. They loved the idea of having a whimsical, vintage feel and Rebecca’s inspiration was that she wanted a shoot that really meant a lot to them as a couple. The fascinator she wore belonged to her grandma when she was young for example. "We were able to create some old Hollywood romance in a local cafe" Australian photographer Tenielle told me. "It looksed as if it belonged in the French countryside. The Cafe we shot at was called ‘Cafe Bouquiniste’, and the owner Meredith has a love for Paris, Books and all things French as you can tell."

The majority of the weddings and photo shoots I feature are sent to be by photographers or recently married couples, however occasionally I'll come across a session so damn cool that I have to email the photographer right away and demand to feature it! This was one of those sessions. I'd followed William Massey's work through a group on flickr for a while now yet it was only now that I really stood up and took notice. Philip & Anela were one of those couples that I instantly knew would suit Rock n Roll Bride to a tee - punky, retro, vintage, quirky, cool...they suited all these words that I overuse everyday on my blog.

Tommy & Meredith are so damn cute n cool that it hurts! I am dying over their simple but perfect engagement session and their matching red and black checks are way-too-adorable. Both artists, it was obvious that they'd have to do something super creative for their engagement session. It just so fun and natural!

Christina & Zack met up with photographers Katelyn Mizell of Split Second Photography and Shauna Maness of Shauna Maness Photography for a flea market inspired, rustic, outdoors engagement shoot. From the vintage finds to the fairy lights, everything about this session screams Rock n Roll perfection. The clothes were provided by Doris Divine and all the props were sourced from flea markets, charity shops and the like.

I'm a big Beatles fan. I love the emotion and feeling behind their lyrics, so much so that our first dance was 'All you need is Love' - the words of which I have tattooed on the inside of my wrist! So when photographer Amelia sent me Rachel & Joey's Beatles themed engagement sesh, I jumped at the chance of a feature. I adore the adaptions of each song and famous moment - especially of course the John & Yoko Hair Peace Bed Peace scene. How many can you spot?

This is my second South African post within so many days and I'm pretty sure you're gonna dig this one just as much as the last. The lovely Laura actually found photographer Kat Forsyth through a post on Rock n Roll Bride so this session is even a little extra special to me. The Australian bride-to-be will be marrying her South African sweetheart Gustav (who she met in the UK - boy are these guys travelled!) back in Australia later this year and judging from the coolness of this engagement session, I just know their wedding is going to be Rock n Roll Bride worthy!

Jacquie & Robby's fun yet sexy engagements were sent over to me today. I instantly fell in love with her funky style (her 'Leopard Lolita Dress' is by Stop Staring she got it from Daddy-o's) and their 'poking-fun' attitude - gotta love that 'RIP Rob' graffiti behind them! "We had these pictures taken in March 2010 on the outskirts of Baltimore, Maryland" Jacquie explained. "We explored the area and happened to come across the graffiti that said "RIP Rob" and although I usually hate that old idea that once a man is married his life is over, but I couldn't resist taking a picture seeing that my fiance name is Robby! Also, we stumbled across that old red car and we loved the pictures near the car so much, we used one for our save the dates. If you take a look at the pictures of us near the car, you will notice that a train went by while we were shooting. That day seemed like it was really meant to be."

Amy & Darren are a gorgeous, fun and music-loving couple who are getting married this June in the New Forest. The idea for their engagement shoot was just to follow them having fun and sharing the things they love. "We started the shoot at their place in Blackheath, London" photographer Sarah told me "with me shooting from the mezzanine down on them lying amongst a fraction of their 5000-strong record collection, even Martha the cat wanted a piece of the action!" "Next, we took a trip up the road to take advantage of the gorgeous evening light at the May bank holiday fair on Blackheath, finishing with a stroll through Greenwich Park to the bandstand which holds a romantic significance to them as a couple as it's where they spent a lot of time together when they first started courting."

There are a select few UK photographers that I truly love and I think Pippa Mckenzie may be joining that group. I fell in love with her relaxed, documentary inspired style and couldn't wait to share this rockin' Brighton engagement session with you. "Natalie & James live in Surrey, and often hang out in Brighton" Pippa told me. "They are young, quirky and very successful property developers. They are such a cool, hip and fun loving couple and we wanted to really capture their characters in their e-Shoot. They had a few costume changes for the shoot to contrast the beach shots with classy rock n roll amongst the Brighton Lanes. We thought the edgy surroundings of Brighton really complimented their characters."

I love a shoot with a great story behind it...especially when it revolves around people I know! When bride-to-be Laura checked in on Rock n Roll Bride a few months ago she fell in love with the work of UK photographer, David McNeil. She promptly contacted him to arrange an engagement shoot in Brighton. Her fiance Nick and her turned up on the morning of the shoot, only to discover that unbeknownst to both of the boys, they already knew each other! David and Nick actually used to work together long before David tried his hand at wedding photography and Nick got engaged...but wait the tale gets stranger because when David sent me these images it turns out I used to work with Nick too! What a small world...

Oh how I love these!! I mean what's not to love? As photographer Paulus explains "Paula is a sentimental, fashionable, crazy gothic lolita girl and Teddy is an easy going, noodle maniac, graphic master, straight to the point guy. They both came up with this amazing concept. Both of them are tattoo lovers, so they decided to shoot their photos at Rock n Roll Tattoo. They got their vows inked on their arms." Yeah so these guys are pretty much perfecto for Rock n Roll Bride aren't they?
