May 15, 2014

Travis and Erin challenged themselves to spend no more than $5000 on their wedding - and they did it! One of the key things about this wedding was that they kept it a secret from their guests. That's right, they had no idea they were going to a wedding that day... they all thought they were just there for an engagement party! The day was held at The Briars Homestead Garden, Mount Martha, Australia.

An usual wedding theme perhaps, but Antanas and Kristina knew exactly what they wanted for their Lithuanian wedding. "The first part of our theme was cherries", explained the bride. "Two red ripe cherries joined together, what better symbol of partnership? Red also means strong and passionate love. There are so many touches that I love in this set of photos - the hay bales with the hearts on, the colourful DIY fans or the heart garlands would make for incredible ceremony backdrops. There are some seriously sweet buffet table ideas and the gold and yellow tablescape is a really lovely and original take on the theme.

Andy Gaines

February 5, 2014

Carla and Chris wanted their wedding to be a reflection of them but also to be laid back and enjoyable for their guests. They weren't bothered about following tradition and mainly wanted to make sure that they threw one hell of party! "We hate the big white wedding and the whole cut-and-paste experience so we wanted to do something different", began Carla. "No white wedding dress, no cutting of the cake, absolutely no bunting. Just us, relaxed and simple. I guess we set the scene when we sent out wedding invitations with a picture of two skeleton hands with their wedding rings on (till death do us part!)"
