Amanda and Briar were married at Ball's Falls Conservation Area in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. Their ceremony was in the local chapel and their reception at a nearby barn. They were married on the beach at El Pez Tulum, a boutique ocean-front hotel, in Mexico. KO and Bre wanted their wedding to be a beachy pin up fairytale wedding and I think they achieved that wonderfully! The bride wore a vintage dress from the 1950s which she customised and had the skirt redesigned by Georgannette Chatterley. Her birdcage veil was also homemade.Read more...

Kat and Gary's Northampton wedding was pure punk rock! From the bride in a denim jacket with a custom patchwork back and Dr Marten boots, the skinhead groom in a 3-piece tartan suit, and their kids rocking mohawks, it really doesn't get more authentic than this! Jo and Tony were married by a small lake on a friend's property in Denmark, on the south coast of Western Australia. The bride wore a dress from an op shop (she actually only decided the morning of the wedding what she would be wearing, after several changes of clothes!) and clear wellington boots! Ellen and Rory were married at Cottiers, a bar, restaurant and theatre venue in the West End of Glasgow. Their day had a bit of a Mexican fiesta feel with the oilcloths and paper banners from Viva la Frida. They also had hand stitched bunting and dried chillis hanging from the ceiling! Jamie and George were married on 13.12.13 in Vancouver. Adam and Meghan wanted to find a suitably Rock n Roll venue for their alternative wedding in Pheonix. After a long search they eventually came across The Duce which ticked all their boxes! "We wanted the wedding to let us shine through", began the bride. "We didn't want a particular theme. When we were looking at wedding venues, we wanted something that was already us. In Phoenix, there are tons of country clubs and botanical gardens. But none of that really fit who Adam and I are. Stephanie and Rob's wedding was nearly all handmade. They wanted it to have a laid back and unfussy feel but for it to be a little bit fancy. One of the biggest projects for the wedding was Stephanie's dress, which she knitted herself! "I designed and hand knit my dress from linen and cashmere yarn", she explained. "I used some turn of the 20th century gowns for inspiration, particularly for the shape of the skirt, and combined a variety of related lace patterns. I was really, really happy with how it turned out, but I think the mirroring of the pattern on the waistband is my favorite part."Read more...

Ames and Tel met when they were twelve, at school. Needless to say it wasn't love at first sight! However eleven years later they virtually bumped into each other on MySpace and saw each other on a few nights out. Shortly after that they started dating. "We didn't set out with a theme in mind for our wedding, we just knew we wanted a laid back relaxed do with close friends and family", Ames explained. This is definitely a wedding I wish I was at. Louisa and Richie sure do know how to throw one hell of a party! The styling for the celebration was really centred around their venue - the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall called The Ditch. An unusual choice maybe (and one with no natural light!) but it fit perfectly with what the couple wanted. Louisa's dress was designed by Catherine Deane. Jane and Andrew were married in Lissanoure Castle in Loughguile, Northern Ireland. Their day was eclectic from the start which began with the most unusual, but weirdly perfect, inspiration! "Jane found a couple of starting points for the visual style of the wedding early on", Andrew explained. "Firstly this photo of Gram Parsons wearing his amazing white cowboy suit with bold coloured leaves and flowers, and an Alice Temperley dress called the Long Eliah Flower Show Dress. Things evolved a long way from there. We used Pinterest to develop ideas with Jane's sisters and our lovely designer friend Kat Flint. An usual wedding theme perhaps, but Antanas and Kristina knew exactly what they wanted for their Lithuanian wedding. "The first part of our theme was cherries", explained the bride. "Two red ripe cherries joined together, what better symbol of partnership? Red also means strong and passionate love.
