This little gift arrived into my inbox the other day from the ever delightful Brandi Thompson...I didn't realise it was Christmas already! You might remember Jayme from her engagement session with her (then) Hubby to be Matt and those shoes! Well from these it would appear that their wedding was just as Rock n Roll, gothic and pretty damn cool. Her dress was made especially for her by a local seamstress and the hat was from Leg Avenue to which she added her own extra sparkle! Thanks sooooo much for making my gothic fantasy's come true Brandi and Jayme! Credit: Brandi Thomspon PhotographyRead more...

Oh yes, yet another autumn/fall/Halloween wedding for you lucky lucky people, but this one couldn't be further away in style from the last. Darby & Eric got married at Heritage Park in Dana Point California on October 3rd 2009 and the reception followed at Darby's Parents home nearby with just some of their closest friends and family. A super personal, uber stylish affair the couple really went all out to make it their own. I am absolutely loving the autumn leaf bouquets and subtle Halloween theming around the event - not OTT, not crazy, just them. Oh and I had to mention the bride and bridesmaid's dresses too... swwaaaahhhoooon! Thanks to Molly & Matt for the exclusive. Love love lurrrveRead more...

The Halloween weddings have been pouring in and I can't say I mind at all! Julie & Bryan's wedding particularly caught my eye on account of its medieval, pumpkin, nightmare before Christmas accumulation. This is pretty much individuality at it's best!Read more...

After the frankly ridiculous popularity of the Love Me Do free wedding photography contest, I have been chomping at the bit to get this next one up and running! Erica Berger...ahh what can I say that I haven't said before!? Her work is phenomenal, I'm pretty sure that's all you need to know! Go check out the interview I did with her a few weeks ago and remind yourself already. Got it? Yeah you have! OK, so hella exciting news people. The ever lovely Erica is offering one lucky couple a free trash the dress shoot and she will travel anywhere in the world! All you need to do is pay for her travel and lodgings (if applicable - ie if you are outside of San Francisco where she is based) and you could have your very own set of Erica Berger originals to adorn your walls. Ace or what!? To enter, simply drop me an email to kat@rocknrollbride.com entitled 'We want to get trashed with Erica Berger' and let me know is no more that 200 words, what your ideal trash the dress shoot would be. I want your idea, where you would carry out the shoot (feel free to include a photograph) and what you would be wearing. Although the contest is not exclusively open to already married couples the shoot will feature you in your wedding outfits so please include a recent photograph of you and your beau in your wedding finest if possible! Erica will then travel to you on a date decided between the 3 of you to make your idea come to life. As always think outside the box with this one. Your wildest and wackiest trash the dress fantasy is what I want - don't hold back! Our favourite entries will then go head to head in a public vote, which as we saw from last week can get pretty fierce! Terms & ConditionsRead more...

You lucky lucky things, I have yet another post of wonderfulness from Vanessa of Wildberry Design & Studio - the wedding to accompany the amazing Pin Up. Tattooed. Awesomes engagement shoot. Although this wedding has undeniable classic and traditional elements, it's the personal and Rock n Roll touches that 'make' it. They give the wedding the twist it needs to make me fall in love with it - and them! Plus it may well have the most electic and colourful gaggle of guests I've ever seen. Love them! Again, thanks to Vanessa for sharing Credit: Wildberry Design & StudioRead more...

Photographer Joy Marie posted a sneak peek of this wedding what feels like aaages ago, but as soon as I saw this tattoo/ring shot I knew I wanted it to blog! The full set certainly doesn't disappoint. Robert & Avery are a bone-fined Rock n Roll couple. He has produced rock greats such as Ozzy Osbourne and she is the founder and owner of a vintage fashion company, Making a Comeback. It may be cheesy but I can't resist.....ROCK ON!Read more...

Being a real life published writer is such an amazing feeling. I can't get over that rush I feel seeing my thoughts and ideas in print. Anyone that has been reading Rock n Roll Bride for some time now will know that I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the MangoRED boys. Skye & Liam had a detail-perfect Halloween wedding in Cambridgeshire. The couple really went all out and even had a pumpkin carving competition for their guests. They suspected many people wouldn't bother, but to their surprise and delight nearly every guest brought a personalised pumpkin to share! What a talking point huh? Instead of a guest book, they opted for a message 'tree' where their guests could write messages to the newly married couple on the autumnal leaves which they attached to the branches. They even rounded the evening off with a masquerade ball! Hello awesomeness! Thanks to Kim for sharing these. I am expecting to share a load more of Kim's fantastic work on the site soon! I don't get to feature enough gothic style weddings so when Carmel & Drynn's rustic yet opulent gothic affair landed on my desk I jumped at the chance to share these. The Bride told me... I found my dress at Gothic Wedding Dresses and our flowers were done by Punch Portland. The inspiration for our theme was based on Tim Burton-esque Sleepy Hollow, classic Victorian but with a dark feel. We are kind of "darker" individuals so we wanted that reflected but wanted to do it in a classy tasteful way. We didn't want to scare our guests too much! We picked Drynn's hat up at a vintage store the feather piece & my headpieces were done by Cricket Quills. Thanks to Carmel & Drynn for sharing their day with usRead more...
