There are plenty of wedding inspiration shoots being featured on wedding blogs and in the magazines, but there's a distinct lack of same sex models for my liking! Which is why when this shoot from Six Hearts Photography came in, I was thrilled!Read more...

If there's one thing I love it's COLOUR - and lots of it - so when photographer Rebecca Douglas sent over this wedding inspiration shoot, I couldn't really turn down the opportunity to feature it. Styled by Jenny Sinclair of Bellaboo and Beau, this shoot was inspired by a neon colour palette and the tropics.pRead more...

If I'm being 100% truthful, I've been a little bit over styled wedding shoots for a while now. Some of you might have noticed that I share less and less of them on my site these days. In the most part it's actually because I simply have too many awesome weddings I want to share instead (yay!) but in others its because there really are a lot of boring shoots being produced. Harsh but true!Read more...

If there's one thing I love to showcase on Rock n Roll Bride it's unconventional bridal styling ideas. Which is why this photo shoot really tickled my fancy.Read more...
On Love and

Yep, that's exactly what I thought when I saw this shoot - it's super glam but, man, is it weird. Weird in a good way though... weird is always a compliment! The shoot consists of two parts. The first is more opulent, set in the incredible Gallery of Costume in Platt Hall, Manchester. The second part took place in the nearby woods.Read more...
Caro Weiss
May 23, 2014
The day I published this article on wedding trends (and why they suck) Scottish wedding photographer Caro Weiss got in touch to tell me she couldn't agree more - and that she'd just done a shoot with florists, Pyrus, for the exact same reason!Read more...

For the photo shoot at the latest Photography Farm workshop, photographer Lisa Devlin knew she needed to do something big. After all, at the last Farm Gareth and I got married again! After seeing Megan and Grant's gorgeous wedding on Rock n Roll Bride, and reading how much Megan loves Disney (and just so happens to resemble a certain crimson haired mermaid) the ideas started bubbling away. She wanted to put a different twist on the mermaid idea though and eventually came across the story of Rusalka, from which The Little Mermaid movie was based. Luckily Megan and Grant also loved the idea and we're thrilled to model for her!Read more...
Jewel
May 11, 2014
This shoot was set up by photographer Julie of Jewel Photography who was inspired after watching Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events! "As a photographer I look at everything with an open mind and at everything for inspiration", wrote Julie. "Years ago I was watching Lemony Snicket and I fell in love with the costuming, design and photography in the movie. I cataloged in my brain for use down the road. Well the moment finally came, I knew I wanted to to do a steampunk styled photo shoot!"Read more...

With a bride who's obsessed enough with horses to get three of them tattooed as a chest piece, photographer Catalina Jean knew what the starting point for her next styled bridal shoot had to be. "Ginny and Jack are having an indoor wedding this next winter so I brought up the idea of doing a bridal session at a fun outdoor location on a day with nice weather", she explained.Read more...

There's nothing that evokes childlike wonder quite like mermaids. I don't think there's any girl who watched The Little Mermaid as a kid and afterwards didn't wanted to be one... So when this shoot, although not strictly wedding inspired, landed in my inbox, I knew I wanted to share it with you. It's pure fantasy but that doesn't make it any less fabulous.Read more...

I love this shoot because it shows that goth doesn't always have to be black, black and more black. A splash of colour here and there can really work - yes, a colourful goth wedding is totally possible!Read more...

These beautifully gritty wedding images were shot at an abandoned warehouse in Badajoz, Spain. Wedding photographer Jesus Caballero explains, "I had an idea to shoot an urban wedding shoot. January can be a slower month for those of us that work in the wedding industry. Less people get married in winter and so for many industry professionals this is the time when they can stretch their legs and do some experimenting. This is exactly what my friend Lisa Devlin wanted to do when she started to plan this gothic wedding shoot.Read more...
Kama Catch Me
March 1, 2014
Well, that's a blog title I never thought I'd write! I have to admit, when I received these photos from Fiji based (but will travel!) wedding photographers Kama Catch Me, I was initally dubious. "Oh this will be a weird one", I thought. Well, I actually wasn't wrong... but it's weird in the most awesome way!Read more...
Shannon Collins
February 25, 2014
Coming across the most amazingly colourful house by chance one day, wedding photographer Shannon Collins dreamed of being able to do a shoot there. Well fate stepped in, making it a possibility, so she knew she had to make it extra magical! "Last year, I was photographing a couple in Philadelphia for an engagement shoot", wrote Shannon. "On my way home, a few minutes from the location, I drove past a lovely yellow house with tons of pink flamingos scattered across the lawn. I screeched my brakes and drove in reverse so I could capture a quick snapshot of the house. It instantly reminded me of the John Waters film, 'Pink Flamingos' and made me smile."Read more...
