I featured Meredith & Justin's cute picnic engagement session a while back so it's only fitting that I also share their wedding...especially as it turned out as pretty as this - hello...?A tea length textured dress with pockets! Meredith's dress came from Melissa Sweet and is called Fiesole. It's a silk strapless tea-length dress with all over horizontal net embellishment and bow at waist and is quite frankly perfect for her. With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year and it being a distinctly unconventional theme for a wedding, I have not at all been surprised to receive a number of spooky themed weddings that took place last weekend. I'm kicking today off with Colinne & Shane's wedding. Some of my favourite details include Colinne's choice of converse trainers under her dress plus her black diamond engagement ring, the lucky rabbit's foot that accompanied her bouquet and acted as her 'something old'. You lucky lucky things, I have a couple of ridiculously gorgeous ruffled dresses to share with you today, starting with this yellow beauty. Photographer Apryl deemed Rock n Roll Bride worthy of being the first blog to share her work...like, ever. How awesome is that? Oh...and how awesome are these?! The dress, a Clifton Wilhite original found at Junkadoodle was a bit of a mess when they found it, however Apryl and her team, including Katie (who played model for the day) & Sally from Revolution Gardenwho supplied the masquerade masks cleaned it up and rocked out to get these amazing shots. Classy, elegant, retro. These are the words that came to me as soon as I saw Rebecca & Justin's 1950s inspired engagement session. The shoot took place at The Ritz Ybor in downtown Tampa, a venue which perfectly reflected photographer Alicia's vision for the session. It doesn't get more Rock n Roll perfect than this! Sommer & Dan's wedding took place in an old mill is Somerset, New Jersey which is owned by Dan's parents. The bride wore a 1950s prom dress from Ebay and snakeskin Kate Spade shoes. The groom rocked it in a custom suit with spiderweb lining and the bridesmaids looked the part in leopard print shoes. The awesome Marianne Taylor (who shot my pinky, punky princess shoot) just sent me a selection of her most recent engagement sessions and Sam & Adam's jumped out at me right away. Not only have I got a unhealthy obsession with toy cameras right now (they used a Diana camera as a prop) but the couple are just to damn right funky for words.
