You might remember Amy & Darren from their fabulous All the Fun of the Fair engagement session. I knew back then that their wedding would be a super stylish and quirky affair and they sure haven't disappointed. I am SO EXCITED to share these with you. The wedding took place at a private estate which belongs to Amy's Godfather called Ipley Manor in Marchwood, Hampshire. The couple actually got engaged at the same venue 18 months earlier when Darren popped the question at Amy's birthday party in front of all their friends & family. He snuck the proposal into a game they were playing! On the day Amy wore a beautiful one off Temperley dress while Darren wore a suit from Reiss with vintage bow tie and hankie. Amy arrived in a vintage Mustang driven by her father and they were married in Amy's godfather's new pool room where an oak floor was laid over the pool itself. Amy's aunt made the cake and their tables were named after their favourite haunts in London and they had written a potted history of why for each table to make everything really personal.

Archery, Tractors & Tents – A British Summertime Wedding with a Twist

Architects Sybil & Jon planned an outdoors, Robin Hood style wedding - complete with campfire, archery and tents - at the bride's parent's house, for July 30th this year. Jon explained that they wanted the ‘feel’ of the wedding to be similar to the scene in the woods from the original film of Robin Hood. They wanted everything to be relaxed and very informal and so had tractors as their transport, a folk band and a rustic, natural style of flowers. "Sibyl was very keen to use English flowers and wanted them to look like they had been picked from the garden." their wedding planner, Kate told me. " Anne Bell sourced the flowers from a walled garden in Hertfordshireand created beautiful colourful arrangements in jars on each of the tables along withbouquets for Sibyl and her bridesmaids. The church was decorated witha stunning candle stick display and pew end arrangements tied with raffia. As an added touch the couple also quickly decorated the tractor!"

Gemma & Liam's super stylish, vintage-inspired wedding took place at the moody and dramatic venue of the 13th century George Vaults, Rochester. Just from seeing Gemma's incredible Fur Coat No Knickers dress and Irregular Choice shoes I knew their wedding would be a beaut. Enjoy these beautiful images people!

A Sparkly Rockabilly Campsite Romance

Ooh what a lovely sparkly rockabilly wedding! Lucia & Paul got married at Arundel Town Hall, West Sussex which was followed by an outdoorsy reception at the bride's sisters camp site - Billycan Camping, Arundel - which specialises in bringing back traditional camping, with bell tents, safari lounge tents and Teepees! "We wanted to create a family orientated wedding" Lucia told me. It was held in my hometown, my Mum did our photos, my Dad made the rings, my Mother in law made the cake and the whole thing was held at my sisters campsite. Fun, laughter and a relaxed environment was important to us. We'd been to so many weddings where we felt on edge (due to not knowing everyone) and we didn't want that from ours. It was a buffet lunch that was solely Vegetarian and the tables were decorated with gold sweetie bags with fake tattoos beside them- these were red hearts with a scroll across- reading "Pete & Lucia" something that went down amazingly well with the children."

I love the modern twist on the distinctly Victorian styling of this shoot. Layered vintage fabrics, corsets and handmade jewellery have all been offset by different shades of modern red in the makeup and styling. The shoot took place at an old historic train station which, with it's unique detailing really brought the theme together.

Nicola & Ed’s Scottish/London Fusion Wedding

Nicola & Ed wanted a diy wedding that really reflected them. The took from Nicola's Scottish heritage and had a thistle theme for their flowers and decor, all of which they sourced themselves. For their invites and order of service they used a photograph from the Bolivian Salt Flats which they had taken themselves when they were away travelling the year before that was really special to them. For the London aspect of their wedding (they married in London) they booked a double decker bus to transport all their guests and as a final touch they named each table after a London tube stop and bought postcards to add to the centrepieces.

Oh. My. Gaaaawd! You are going to go utterly c-c-craaaazy for Ant & Clare's way-beyond-anything-I-have-ever-seen-awesome wedding. The pair went down to Brighton to have a personal ceremony with just the two of them. They didn't have a reception, instead opting for a fabulous photo shoot around the town with their photographer Jacqui McSweeney. This is yet another wedding to back my theory that 'blog-worthy' details are not 'all that'. Just grab yourself an wicked dress, customise yourself some shoes and get hitched in perfect Rock n Roll style! Prepare to be inspired...

Is it possible to ever get tired of all this wedding gorgeousness? I don't think so! Julie & Eric got married at Glen Cove Mansion in NYC, a former 1920's Gold Coast estate. They emulated the Great Gatsby stylee history of the place in their wedding with the bride, who is a graphic designer, designing all the stationary herself to fit in with this theme. The couple also baked all the cookie favours themselves!

Helen & Tim's darling and elegant Rock n Roll wedding took place in Manchester. I'd call their theme elegant vintage - a lovely mix of classic and quirky. Helen wore a gorgeous vintage dress from Elizabeth Avey, a vintage wedding supplier based in London and Christian Louboutin shoes. She added to her vintage vibe with a hair clip found at Alfie's Antiques Market.

Jacklyn & Noah got married at Cibolo Creek, just outside of Marfa, Texas. It was just the two of them and their little boy Ace. They decided they wanted their wedding to be just about them, "under the big sky". Jacklyn wore a vintage Mexican dress from the 70's, a 1930's diamond bracelet that both belonged to her mother and a lace shawl that she had found in Italy at an open air antique market. She carried pink roses and gardenia from their garden for her bouquet which she put with some wildflowers that she collected on the way down. Noah wore a shirt from the 70's which they found the day before they left for Marfa.

Jenni & George are another 'inspired by Rock n Roll Bride' couple who found their photographer Shan after she was featured on the blog. The couple, who got married on the Isle of Man, wanted to incorporate he things they love into their day - the colour purple and all things eclectic, antique and vintage. "I have a love of all things antique and vintage and my favourite colour is purple! So that's where it began. I bought a lot of the antique bottles from places like eBay, Jurby Junk (!!) and our friend Roger Leece, who found a whole stack of bottles and jars buried somewhere up North apparently!" the bride told me.

Bree & her cute little dachshund, Sadie decided to do a shoot for Bree's fiance Andy...a casual and cool boudoir style session complete with a record player, The Ramones and Andy's bass. I just love this vibe and I really adore how everything is kind of mismatched. Mismatched underwear is the cutest. I don't think I even own a matching set!

I've branded this the 'Quadrophenia wedding' because of all the fabulous retro British details. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside to be English doesn't it? The couple embarked in a lot of diy to make it all super personal and everything from the pub they held it in being called The Britannia to the pork pie 'cake'; from the Vivienne Westwood shoes (a national treasure in my eyes!) to the red, white a blue throughout were put together to make their theme perfect. The bunting had a union jack vibe, the table plans were quintsentially British themed and the guests were even transported in a open top double decker routemaster red bus.

Excuse me one second while I scream "EEEEEEEK!" at the top of my lungs, because that's exactly how I felt when I first saw Laura & Harry's eco-friendly, vintage-heavy, Rock n Roll inspired backyard wedding. David & Julie-Anne's wedding shoot was a total reflection on who they are as a couple. Everything they chose to wear had special meaning to them and was sentimental and personal. "We didn't want the usual stresses of a modern day wedding to take away from the love and happiness of our day, so we chose to keep it simple, fun and comfortable" they explained.

Blake & Megan have been married a few years but wanted to do a new photo shoot to reflect who they are as a couple right now (I'm hoping to convince Gareth to do the same thing soon - the latest photos we have of us together are our wedding photos. In these he has a shaved head (he now has long hair) and I have brown hair - we couldn't be more different now!)
