Blake & Megan’s Vintage, Diy, Anniversary Sesh
July 20, 2010
Blake & Megan have been married a few years but wanted to do a new photo shoot to reflect who they are as a couple right now (I’m hoping to convince Gareth to do the same thing soon – the latest photos we have of us together are
our wedding photos. In these he has a shaved head (he now has long hair) and I have brown hair – we couldn’t be more different now!)
Blake & Megan and their photographer Daniel & his wife hunted in vintage shops, independent stores & consignment shops for the perfect vintage-inspired outfits and props, and everyone spent a long time on diy projects to make everything personal and perfect. On the day, they shot in Daniel’s back garden as well as a secret woods nature centre in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Thanks to everyone involved for sharing this fabulous shoot with us today!

Jade + Matthew Take Pictures

Today's feature isn't a wedding, but I think when you see these photos you'll understand why I've made an exception to share them! Jade and Matthew's 10th anniversary party was held at a friend's house. It was a completely DIY event. The couple are wedding photographers, so they even shot it themselves!
From Sunrise to Sunset – A Day in the Life of Us: Joelle & Jake
February 25, 2013
Joelle & Jake's shoot was described to me as "intimate, organic and unique" by their photographer Anna Jones and I really couldn't say it any better. Somewhere between a boudoir, a day in the life and a wedding portrait shoot, these images that took my breath away as soon as I saw them. Perfectly honest and stunningly peaceful. They are just utterly, utterly beautiful and everything a couple shoot should be.

A Mythical Gothic Anniversary Shoot: Emma & Owen
May 23, 2012
After their wedding Emma & Owen decided they wanted to do a shoot that really showed off their personalities and personal style. They hadn't had any portraits taken at their wedding eight years ago, and so they contacted photographer Jess Petrie to ask if she'd like to shoot them.
Owen told us all about their relationship and why they wanted to do this shoot. "I met Emma when I was fifteen and we’ve been together ever since. It really was love at first sight – that’s probably the only way it could have worked as I was too shy to speak to her at the time! As a teenager with a paper round, I had to save up for an engagement ring; I picked a ring at a jewellers and went there every week to add to the down-payment on a tiny gold ring with two small diamonds holding a larger third in the middle. I’d literally go there some weeks with 82 pence in copper coins to add to the pot, but I paid it off eventually and took it home! We went to sixth form and then University together, Emma to study Fine Art Painting and me to study Film & Video Production. Nowadays, Emma is a successful portrait painter and I run a film production company and am about to direct my first feature film."
Alternative Woodland Anniversary Shoot: Sally & Mark
December 1, 2012
Sally & Mark might be a little familiar because I featured their amazing blue burlesque wedding (on a £900 budget!) in December last year. Well, as their first anniversary rolled round, the couple wanted something to commemorate, and so called up their wedding photographer Jade of GASP Photography to ask if she'd do the honours.

You say that you first spotted me walking down the stairs at the dive bar we both used to frequent. I was just 16, you were 21. You assure me you can remember exactly what I was wearing - a sheer pink top with a denim pencil skirt, and freshly dyed pink tips at the bottom of my hair. "That's the girl I'm going to marry" you turned to your friend and said. "Yeah right", I replied when you told me this story, years later. But that is just so typically Gareth - you're just always right about everything.
Naomi, Josh & Kingsley
April 13, 2010
Oh I have been so excited about sharing this shoot with you all! I'm sure most of you will be familiar with this gorgeous little family. Naomi is the beautiful girl behind the uber popular Rockstar Diaries blog and her husband Josh and their new dog Kingsley play a staring role in it. These guys really are wonderful people. Sweet, kind and darling. Their blog posts never fail to cheer me and they just seem so genuinely LOVELY!
OK enough gushing...you're going to adore these images taken at the DC Cherry Blossom Festival by their wedding photographer Leo Patrone(who I'm hoping to meet when he comes over to London soon!) The light, the colours, the fashion, the fun and lurrrve...aww just so perfect.
