Marina and Darren were married at The Prince Albert pub in Camden. Their day was simple but elegant and beautiful. The bride read the term 'rustic luxe' in a bridal magazine and that seemed to fit them perfectly! "Our wedding was full of beautiful rustic touches, like the flowers and picnic baskets, mixed in with a bit of 1920s glamour to give it a luxurious feel," she explained. Liz and Bryan were married at the famous Madonna Inn in California. The day was a beautiful mish-mash of a vintage candy store and a retro tattoo shop. "We really wanted to keep our wedding upbeat and light-hearted", wrote the bride. "I think the temporary tattoos, candy, giant wood cut outs and photo booth helped create a really fun environment. Halfway through the night the photo booth props became a part of the wedding and we had groomsmen in capes and dresses as the Hulk and Spiderman on the dance floor. Sharon and Huw didn't really wanted to have a wedding theme but through just picking things they liked they ended up with a wedding that reflected their love of music and of London. "When we started to plan the wedding we were adamant that we were not going to have a theme but I think we ended up with a London one", Sharon began. Alison and Michael were married at The Green Building in Brooklyn. They got together after chance meeting at Kate's Paperie in New York, a Craigslist 'Lost Connection' that actually worked and a long online relationship. After finally getting together and then getting engaged they planned the wedding in just three short months. "When planning the wedding I became charmed by the idea of parlour weddings, the way folks used to do it before the Big Business of weddings", Alison explained. Rachel and Ryan wanted a beautiful but fun wedding so they decided on a subtle vintage carnival theme. They didn't want it to be cheesy or too overly done, and "No clowns" was top of their list of requirements. "We wanted it to feel like a beautiful whimsical wedding at a carnival and not have it be a cheesy carnival wedding," began Rachel. "We also wanted people to have a good time. We didn't want people saying 'that was nice' we wanted them to shout 'that was fun!' The ceremony was heartfelt enough to make you cry, but funny enough to make you laugh with quirky remarks and personal heartfelt vows. Beth and Drew met at university where they were both in the film society club. They wanted the theme of their March wedding to reflect the way they met but not in a really obvious way. They inserted subtle film references such as the readings, their photo booth, their music choices and the table numbers. Lorna & Dave were married in Southend in April. Their ceremony took place at The Culture Centre, right on the pier, and their reception was at Ocean Beach, a restaurant on the beach. "The theme for our wedding was British seaside with a touch of vintage", wrote Lorna. "The beautiful blue sky and sunshine really made the day that extra bit special. It was amazing! So when a wedding like Leslie & Collin's lands in my inbox I'm over the moon, thrilled and super duper excited to feature it because it's just so different. Ashlea & Joel's wedding was a mash up of everything they love and they actually found it quite difficult to narrow their wedding down to one particular 'theme'. "We found it really difficult to come up with a theme or concept to tie everything together, because we really weren't fussy and just loved everything we saw!" explained Ashlea. "Eventually we decided to give it a garden and green theme, and felt our reception flowers made the room feel beautiful and lush just like we wanted.
