Anne and Ionut were married in Bucharest, Romania. Their ceremony was at Visarion Church and the reception,
Domenii Plaza Hotel. “Our wedding was based on us”, wrote the bride, “classic, funny, yummy, happy, not ordinary nor extraordinary… We didn’t follow what we ‘should do’ instead we followed our hearts. We wanted to have fun at our wedding, so this was the only theme really!”
“We used wedding blogs for most of our ideas and kept things quite simple. We bought things online and in Ikea. We had lots of nice, simple flowers and candles that really made a great setting. There is a saying in Romania, that food and music make your wedding. In our case, we’d like to believe it was not only the food and music, but they surely helped.”
“We had a funny moment when we surprised the guests by having a fake wedding cake which was smashed the floor ‘by mistake’. It was kinda silly but got the best reactions ever – my aunts started to cry and some friends wanted to still try and eat it! In the end everyone started to applause and tried to encourage us that the wedding was not ruined… and then we bought out the real cake and everyone laughed!”

Mr & Mrs Tattooboy’s Heavily Tattooed, Ass Kickin’ Rockabilly Wedding
January 7, 2011
Do you remember Mr & Mrs Tattooboy? The hot tattooed couple behind one of my favourite ever engagement sessions? Well check it out - they got hitched and I've got the exclusive on their killer wedding. When the couple first met, Kori was a cheerleader and Matt was a rocker and a tattooed artist. They soon fell in love and Kori starting getting just as much ink as her man!
"Kori & Matt’s aka Mr. & Mrs. Tattooboy, have this incredible rockabilly style & then some!!!" photographer Christina told me. "When I asked Kori about the details of her wedding she just told me she wanted it to be different from the normal-cheesy-blah type weddings, this made me really happy that she wasn’t giving in to what everyone else in the world was doing! Their unusual story & love for tattoos & rockabilly style was inspiration enough for these two lovers to plan their wedding."
1970s Inspired Backyard Barbecue Wedding: Emily & Chris
March 14, 2013
Ahh Emily & Chris' Florida nuptials is what my wedding dreams are made of. Getting ready in the Hard Rock Hotel (my spiritual home for sure) this achingly cool pair had their beautiful wedding at Ybor City Museum Garden in Tampa. Emily wore the Greenbow lace gown by BHLDN and Miu Miu shoes, while Chris kept it casual yet chic in a checked shirt and a vintage velvet jacket combo. The 1970s is an era that many might feel should be left back with the flares, disco and Woodstock hippies, but I'm am here to tell you the exact opposite. How bloody cool are these two?!
Pretty Pastel DIY Wedding: Joey & Mike
January 14, 2013
I'm definitely not only of those girly girls. I favour a bold and modern aesthetic over pretty pastels any day. But Joey & Mike's wedding slayed me when it landed in my inbox recently. And 'pretty' is really the only word I can use to best describe what I saw.
Pastel Colours for a 1950s Inspired Wedding: Emily & James
June 14, 2012
As soon as I laid eyes on Emily's incredible silver embellished 1950s inspired wedding dress I was smitten. What an utterly gorgeous bride and a completely beautiful wedding. I couldn't wait to get it on these digital pages of mine! The couple were married at Edes House, Chichester and had their reception at the groom's father's house in Bosham.
"We wanted our wedding day to completely reflect James and I", Emily told me. "This was something we kept in mind during the whole process, as I think it is easy to lose sight of what and who weddings are for, when you are surrounded by so many people in the wedding industry telling you that you absolutely need this and definitely need that.
We both adore the 1950s and the pastel shades, and I really feel like these things were very present in the whole day. We also chose from the beginning which things would be the most important to us - these ended up being the food/drink for James and the flowers for me. We chose a catering company who were very local and produced the most delicious food. We hand picked each of the types of alcohol we chose, with Arundel Ales coming from Sussex and the cider coming from Appledram which is just around the corner from the reception."
Insane Italian Vintage Circus Wedding: Michelangelo & Francilla
September 3, 2013
Unlike so many Italian weddings that they'd been to before, Michelangelo and Francilla wanted a day that was big, ridiculous and most of all fun! They went for a vintage circus theme, and oh boy, they really did go all out on the theme! Francilla told me all about it, "In Italy it’s quite impossible to have a different wedding and not do everything traditionally. It’s so hard to get away from the 'rules' that everyone says you have to obey, but we worked hard to make sure we did! We would have never been happy to marry in this way, and luckily our families knew it!"
