As soon as I saw Sara's incredible rainbow dress I just knew I had to feature this wedding. I mean, goodness, any bride that rocks a dress like that is guaranteed to have an amazing wedding. Unbelievably, Myles and Cait spent just $2000 on their incredibly detailed Maine wedding. Held at PLD Auction Barn in Mechanic Falls, the wedding was thrifty and gorgeous. Cait wore a dress made up of two summer dresses from oasap.com, $8 shoes from Goodwill and borrowed jewellery. Myles' outfit was also thrifted from Goodwill stores.Read more...

Elisa and Ricky were married only a year after meeting in a bar at the end of the Olympic Opening Ceremony (on 27th of July 2012). Tim and Scarlett were married on 8th August, their five year anniversary. They had a church ceremony followed by a tea party reception in the gardens of Baxby Manor, a gorgeous 705 year old Manor house. "We knew that we wanted somewhere beautiful, and Baxby ticked all the boxes", Scarlett began. "It even came with a glamping site down the lane for all our guests to stay over! Ali and Ben met while they were both working at PlayStation. This mutual love fro all things techy and geeky was a recurring theme throughout their festival inspired wedding. Instead of using lots of paper they sent out digital invitations and had an online gift list, their seating plan was animated and they had pacman references everywhere. Each tier of their homemade wedding cake was a different PlayStation symbol, and they even the meme style table names!Read more...

Yes, Helen and James' outdoor festival wedding was a wash-out, but they definitely didn't let it ruin their day. Jake and Amanda spent just $4000 on their amazing wedding. Everything, bar the catering, was either homemade or donated by friends and family. Lauren and Red's Pennsylvania wedding was a real team effort. It planned by the bride, her mother and their neighbour Patience. The wedding was held on the couple's own farm. "Patience taught us how to make homemade limoncello and smoked salmon and helped so much during the wedding making sure things ran smoothly", Lauren explained. "My mother is a crazy collector of beautiful dishes, as well as ideas. She is also a food connoisseur so she helped add tons of vision and plan the menu. Patience’s daughter got married the weekend before so we were able to share a lot of supplies and ideas which worked out very well as well as work trade. My mother in-law Eva planned the rehearsal dinner which also happened to be my birthday. She created a picnic outdoor super with barbecue chicken for 45 two days before the wedding. Kate and Dan wanted a big celebration for their May wedding, but one that was also relaxed for their guests and a lot of fun. They wanted to involve them in the day as much as possible and not only had their guests bring cakes instead of gifts, which were eaten instead of a traditional wedding cake, but sent everyone a little packets of seeds with their invitations, asking them to grow the flowers and bring them along on the day. The crappy weather in the run up to the wedding meant that a lot of the flowers didn't grow very much but everyone still valiantly brought along their little seedlings to show the couple and to display at the wedding. The amazingly quirky Chop and Hales held their wedding reception in the bride's parent's back garden. They hired a marquee and decorated it exactly as they wanted. Hales looked ever the perfect Rock n Roll bride with her Mori Lee dress, Iron Fist shoes and Butler and WIlson skull necklace. Her bridesmaid's wore different coloured Vivien of Holloway dresses.
