"A friend of mine described our wedding by saying it was 'kind of like the Hangover, only without the tiger'." newlywed Tiiffany explained. "Brandon and I planned the wedding purposely during our favorite holiday - Halloween. Our wedding venue was in the middle of downtown Orlando, which has a HUGE Halloween street party the weekend of Halloween. It’s loads of fun, and I knew that everyone would want to party on the streets after the wedding. Well, my maid of honor partied a little too hard, and we ended up in the emergency room the night of our wedding. Haha. I love her!" Brandon & Tiffany were married the day before Halloween at Sak Comedy Lab. As you can see, they wanted a real party atmosphere for their wedding and so threw the rule book out the window when it came to deciding what they wanted.

When David & Ruth started to think about the kind of theme they'd like for their engagement session and up coming wedding they realised that they wanted to do something that celebrated their life together and their upcoming marriage. "We soon realised that like our life together and we pretty much wanted it all to reflect us - vintage, geekchic, retro, scifi, lowfi, folk, rock, disco, soul, town and country - with extra sprinkles please."

I have so much love for Gretchen & Darby's cute, retro, geek chic engagement sesh. Not only did the chalkboard/hearts location slay me, but their fashion choices are just so perfect...and they match each other in an oh-so-cute and not at all puke-worthy way. The super bright checked set, the crazy 70's jumpers set and the lilac-y matching dress and tie set. Oh so adorable! I love love love them.

Chihye & Tom's LA engagement speaks volumes of their love. From the simple moments between these two to the beautiful field full of ruby red heart balloons - what's not to love about these? It would appear that photographer Chrissy agrees with me "I don’t know if I have the words to accompany these photos. They truly speak for themselves. A couple so deeply and genuinely in love mixed with God’s beauty creates the most gorgeous moments. Chihye and Tom are another one of my kindful couples, our first meeting lasted hours over Sangria and Cuban food. The longer I do my job the more I believe in soulmates and magic." I am really starting to fall head over heels in love with Matt Johnson Photography...and I'm not afraid to admit it! His images are subtle, unobtrusive and captures beautiful weddings with all the justice they deserve. Elodie & Greg's wedding was one I fell in love with as soon as I saw the first frame. Her amazing vintage-inspired outfit, jewellery and so-now white lace gloves make me smile with glee and his rad groom style puts every other groom to shame! The no-jacket/waistcoat look is totally Rock n Roll and looks way-too-cool when matched with his boys in braces. The details of this wedding are to die for - from the birdcages, the white heart motif, the retro 'admissions' sign, the outdoor chandelier. Awesome.

What's not to love about this shoot? Alex & Kaori's downtown LA engagement session was the perfect expression of who they are as a couple - lovers of LA and fashion (they are both designers.) I will never stop loving the Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon shoes (I have them in yellow & black) and Alex's fabulous red & white checked shirt and black bow tie combo. In fact this pair have got to be some serious fashion inspiration to at least a few of you!

Emma & Mattias' urban & gritty engagement session in Hackney Wick (the East End of London) have inspired me no end. I not only love the rough 'n ready, graffiti style shots (which are fast becoming a bit of a McNeil signature) but the wonderful heart shots send my heart a-flutter. I asked David how this images came about and he told me that as they were wondering down the street, looking for locations, they came across a hall where a Valentines night was being set up. They asked nicely if they would use their heart covered wall as a backdrop and the lovely people said yes. Aren't the results fabulous? Another photographic win for my friend David I feel! Not only have I got a unhealthy obsession with toy cameras right now (they used a Diana camera as a prop) but the couple are just to damn right funky for words. This Finnish wedding shot by photographer extraordinaire, Marianne Taylor (I have had the pleasure of meeting and being photographed by her - oh yes I am a lucky ducky) literally hit me straight between the eyes. What I adore so much about Marianne's work is how perfectly she captures atmosphere and the ambiance of a wedding. Her reportage work is seriously second to none. Even though a Finnish wedding has slightly different traditions to that of a British or American one, there is really not much difference when it comes to all the details. I adore the Bride, Miikka's red shoes and cuuute red, heart earrings for example, and the lovely 'Pam ♥ Miikka' sign is too adorable for words.
