George and Antoinette met when they both moved to Milan to study fashion, meeting through a mutual friend that also attended the school. “We have actually been together for 12 years,” said Antoinette, “but because we both have a very rebellious spirit we didn’t want to give in to all the social and family pressure to actually get married, it wasn’t a priority for either of us. When we finally decided to do it, we wanted it to be more of a celebration of the past 12 years and as well as starting a new future together.”

“Punk Rock is in Your Soul” – A DIY City Hall Wedding….and a Bride in PINK: Lenore & Ryan

Kat

I don't say this lightly, but Lenore & Ryan's wedding may be my wedding of the year! I simply love everything about it - from the bride's incredible pink ensemble, to the family-central cuteness of the whole thing. I've also realised that I definitely need to add some more giant bows to all my outfits. I don't know about you but I kinda want to live in this wedding...

Take me to City Hall

I have a lot of love for cute, intimate and quirky wedding stories right now and Kristen & Alex's super stylish affair is no different. The pair had ceremony, just the two of them, at San Francisco City Hall followed by a small reception at Orson Restaurant, where they decided to have another small dedication ceremony in front of their gathered friends and family. "My favorite moments were the separation of the ceremonies" Kristen told me. "We had stressed for months on how to please both ourselves and our families (we wanted to elope, they didn't want us to) The idea of 2 ceremonies was the perfect solution. My favorite tradition was the fact that we were so non-traditional. It took me a while while planning to realize that we had the freedom to do things the way we wanted, there was no rule that we had to do things in a certain way."

City Hall & The Seaport

Courtney & Jon got married at New York's City Hall in February with just their baby with them. Afterwards they headed to The Red Lion in Greenwich Village for a few drinks and some photographs. However this month they decided to have a big reception at Bridgewaters by the South Street Seaport to celebrate with all their friends and family. Courtney looks incredible in her modern ruffled dress - in fact so much so that someone stopped them in the street and asked if they were models or if they were actually getting married! The reception looks like it was a lot of fun - fake glasses, moustaches and lips never get tired!

Glamorous. Intimate. Chic

Kat

September 30, 2009

A City Hall ceremony doesn't have to mean a quicky wedding. Herdah & Jonathan had a pretty damn glamorous but intimate and chic wedding at San Francisco's City Hall followed by an even more glamorous but similarly unconventional reception at E&O Trading Company. Hardah wore a dress by Lian Carlo Couture and shoes by Kate Spade. The beautiful flowers and suculents were put together by Herdah's best friends and bridesmaids, the cupcakes were from Kara's Cupcakes . Stunning. Thanks to the ever wonderful Caroline & Dan for sending these to Moi Credit: Tinywater Photography
