Sarah and Sibley's wedding was held at The Barn at South Milton. They planned a day to celebrate them, the joining of their families and do have a damn good time! Spending just £7000, they saved money by wearing high street clobber (Sarah's incredible sequinned dress from JS Collections at House of Fraser and Sibley's snappy suit from Moss Bros) having a DIY cake, picking wild flowers and making all their own paper goods and decorations.Read more...

One of the things I learnt pretty early on when I started to monetise this blog, was that having multiple income streams was a good idea. While I continue to earn the bulk of my income from banner advertising and sponsored content, only relying on this every month wouldn't be that smart. I mean, what if all my advertisers suddenly decided to go elsewhere? Around mid-2012 I started to brainstorm other ways I could make an income from this site. One of those was selling products. I dabbled with a number of things but the most significant for me have been The Blogcademy, my print magazine and my headpiece collection with Crown and Glory.Read more...

Their wedding was always going to be colourful and fun, and Oliver and Helen found pulling their theme off relatively easy, despite having a smaller that average budget of £8000. They threw tradition out of the window and simply picked things they loved and could make themselves.Read more...

Nic and Dan were married on Friday 13th July at 13.00 at St John the Evangelist Church in Brigg. The day started with them both getting '13' tattoos and ended with a pub reception at The Exchange Coach House. Nic didn't want a traditional dress, so she wore a black one lined with skull fabric! Skulls were a recurring theme throughout the day, and were also on her custom Converse, their cake, and the DIY bunting that decorated the venue.Read more...

Well this is certainly something you don't see everyday! I have a funny feeling you're going to love this. Felicia and Joe were hitched at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington DC. The bride wore a Vera Wang gown from her diffusion line at David's Bridal, but she had to compete with that groom of hers who rocked up dressed as his favourite Power Ranger! Who says brides get to have all the fun?Read more...

Have you thought about what you're going to put on top your wedding cake (or cakes!) yet? While you might think having a cake topper is an unnecessary tradition, there are so many cool ideas floating around at the moment I think it's silly to rule out having one completely. This is something you can really have a lot of fun with!Read more...

Katie and Christopher dropped just $1000 on their amazing wedding. They hosted it in their own home, the bride bought her dress online and the reception décor was put together by the couple themselves. They had a bubble machine on the ceiling, costume accessories, creepy mannequins, sparklers and black silk petals. Their seating was all thrifted to save cash.Read more...
