Song & Dony were married in October at The Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Their wedding had an unusual 'mythical creatures' theme which the couple told me all about. "The wedding theme was mythical creatures as two mythical creatures to decide mate for life. Song made all the invitations, ring pillow, mythical creature themed decorations, tissue paper pom poms and mythical creature brooches that were for wedding parties."Read more...

The couple dressed up in their favourite vintage items for this shoot to celebrate their engagement. They shot in some of their favourite spots around the city. Although it rained all day, the couple were totally up for exploring and getting some amazing shots.Read more...

In the words of the lady herself, I am so titstastically excited to share Britt & Mike's wedding with you today. I have literally been on the edge of my seat since July in eager anticipation of seeing their wedding photographs. Most of you will already know Britt, the kick ass, controversial and Rock n Roll heavy-weight behind the the Bowie Bride blog. Words really can't express how awesome this chick is and how much I totally adore her and her killer blog.Read more...

Confession: I have been looking forward to Britt & Mike's wedding for like, a year. Britt runs the awesome blog Bowie Bride where she's been sharing with us their "oh so pec-u-liar" journey to the alter in her own, totally kick ass, anti-wedding industry and super colourful, DIY-mad way.Read more...

I don't post that many videos on their own as I'll be honest, it takes a pretty damn good video to keep my attention for more than a few seconds. Angel & Lilly's Save the Date however is in a whole other league of radness. I love them! The couple, who made their own video are already married in their eyes (although legally they are 'domestic partners' - stupid Californian same sex marriage laws) as last October the two of them headed down to city hall to do the paperwork followed by an In-N-Out burger!Read more...

I found Aurora & Ben's wedding when a blog reader sent me the link to the couple's blog. I was in instant love and sent them an email right away demanding to know more details! I am muchly exited to share those details with you all. I've been reading all your comments that are coming through on the readers survey and judging by your responses methinks you will like this wedding a lot - diy budget and locally-sourced loveliness!Read more...

Shannon & Os are both part-time photographers so their wedding photography was really important to them, they found Australian Annevi who came to LA to shoot their informal wedding. They decided to hold their ceremony and reception in Barbara’s at the Brewery, Los Angeles. The Old Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery is known as the world's largest live-work art colony and offers amazing industrial landscapes and interesting backdrops. So, of course that's where they decided to shoot all their portraits. They decided to skip a lot of the traditional stuff they didn't have a lot of meaning to them so they didn't have any catering in favour of a more casual Sunday picnic, where the guests brought food, cake and dessert dishes to share. They also abandoned the idea to have flowers as they felt they didn't really suit them or their industrial setting. The bride wore a non traditional dress, a yellow number from Arthur S. Levine teamed with white converse. She used her jewellery as a way to represent the people that couldn't travel to be at their wedding - her bracelet was designed by her mother, her earrings and necklace were from her mother-in-law and an antique handkerchief from her great grandmother (price tag still on it: Famous and Barr 25 cents.) The groom dresses in a similarly non traditionalfashio - his jacket was from a charity shop, his shirt and jeans were items he already had in his wardrobe and his braces/suspenders where from his father in law. He also wore red PF Flyers "guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher."Read more...

I know you will love these so they really don't need much introduction. When I saw a sneak peek on Matt's Twitter I was straight on it to secure the exclusive to share these with you. Angela & Jonard's shoot took place at Griffith Park in LA and Angela had the most amazing little dresses made from an Arizona clothing designer Monique Martinez of OUMA Clothing.Read more...

What's not to love about this shoot? Alex & Kaori's downtown LA engagement session was the perfect expression of who they are as a couple - lovers of LA and fashion (they are both designers.) I will never stop loving the Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon shoes (I have them in yellow & black) and Alex's fabulous red & white checked shirt and black bow tie combo. In fact this pair have got to be some serious fashion inspiration to at least a few of you!Read more...

Photographer Kelly Moore always sends me the coolest stuff and Claira, her model, is not your typical bride. The bridal session took place a few weeks ago in Shreveport, LA and Claira looked every bit the vintage princess and like she had just stepped out of a different era. She wore her grandmothers wedding dress which I am loving when teamed with her brown, brogue-like shoes. Credit: Kelly Moore PhotographyRead more...

Megan & Marcelo met at a punk rock bar in Hollywood... so naturally their wedding would have elements of rock too. The day took place at the ube cool Marvimon in LA with the beautiful flowers being put together by Holly Flora. The bride wore a short hip wedding dress by Amsale and shoes by Gwen Stafani's label, L.A.M.B. The groom looked similarly hot to rock in his skull themed accessories. All the music was hand picked and complimented by the couple's favourite videos projected all night behind the dance floor. It felt like The Rolling Stones, Bowie, Devo, Love and Rockets and Nick Cave all attended the bash as well! The guests kept saying was that this wedding was just soooo Megan & Marcelo...and that is one the best compliments a couple can get. Thanks to Suthi for sharing this funky, Rock n Roll wedding with us today!Read more...

I love Megan & Brodie. I loved them as soon as I featured their Rock n Roll engagements a few months ago. So when Alica of In the Now Weddings & Events emailed me to share this kick ass wedding she'd helped to organise my first thought was "Hey, I know them!" When Megan & Brodie decided to get married, they knew they wanted it to feel homey and old fashioned, with a little rock and roll thrown in. They decided to have the ceremony and reception at the uber trendy Marvimon House, an awesome sustainable loft space in downtown Los Angeles. The pair are both vegan and we wanted to have a 100% vegan wedding. They served a delicious, locally grown, vegan buffet, Megan made 150 cupcakes and 8 dozen cookies and their friend (and maid of honor) homebrewed all of the beer! Megan's dress was a sample-sale-purchased Elizabeth Fillmore gown(Tattered Tulle from her Spring 2005 collection) and Brodie scored an absolutely amazing 60's suit from Jake's Vintage. They constructed a DIY photobooth, made 3 sets of favours, did all their own flowers and had the best kids table ever! Thanks to event organiser Alicia for sharing this awesome wedding with us and to Megan for sending me all the juicy details!Read more...

The Marvimon in LA has become rather an iconic venue to me over this past year. I have never failed to adore every wedding I'm sent that has taken place within it's walls. Sabrina & Kevin's is no different. The day started as a somewhat traditional western affair - she: a bundle of radiance in her pastel palette and Claire Pettibone gown and he: the perfect accompaniment to his bride. The bridesmaids looked stunning and the flowers (supplied La Partie Events) were out of this world gorgeous. The whole day exudes rustic glamour. Come nightfall, Sabrina changed into a Kimono for the festivities and family party. Thanks, as ever, to the always lovely Erin & Court for allowing me to share this gorgeous wedding! This wedding has also been featured on The Bride's Cafe but I couldn't resist a little sneak too! Credit: ErinHeartsCourtRead more...

Kimberly's vintage dress (from Timeless Vixen) is adorable for a number of reasons, but I especially love how it is an absolutely perfect match to Anthony's way too cool authentic vintage cowboy shirt! In fact the whole wedding was based around his very special outfit - who says it's all about the Bride? Thanks to the gorgeous Noa for sharing... Credit: Feather Love PhotographyRead more...
