Modern Vintage Style

David & Camden’s wedding portraits made my day. You’ve got the love the combination and contrast between the uber modern setting of the ‘first look’ portraits and the indoor setting with that dramatic lighting, followed swiftly by the fun, retro and cool outdoor portraits with that awesome car! The pictures pretty much tell the whole story here…and I posted loads. It was actually hard to cut it down to just this many! Enjoy…

ps I love love love her vintage gloves!

With Christmas literally hours away (eeek) you’d be forgiven for thinking I’d be winding down for the year and blog land would slowly have become a lonely little place. Naaahh my darlings! I have found a bumper number of awesomeness to share with you, to round off your pre-Crimbo week with a BANG. This may actually be the biggest Thursday Treat ever. I’ll be talking a few days off for Christmas but will be back early next week as usual. The posts may come a bit for sparsely but I will certainly be here. I hope you enjoy perusing these little gems and I’ll see you on the other side. Happiieee Chrrrismas…

♥ I might have to start this Thursday Treats with a bit of a brag. Over the last 7 days I have had not one, not two but three aaamazing write ups on blogs I love, admire and regularly lust over. Go check out Underneath the Petticoat, Clarabow’s Blog and (squeeeel) Gala Darling’s iCiNG blog. I friggin’ love blog land!
Jane Taylor Millinery creates bespoke vintage style head wear in South West London. Her head wear has been features in Cosmopolitan Bride, You & Your Wedding, Harpers Bazaar, Tatler, Glamour, Asiana Magazine, Vogue and many many more! Check out these beautiful pieces and you’ll see why….
♥ My Mummy & Daddy have bought me a Fuji Instax mini 7 for Christmas. This is what I’m going to do with all the shots I take.
♥ Speaking of the Instax – the photos make great props for engagement shoots!
Classic and elegant with a nice bit of quirk
PS I love you. Adorable wall decor
Love Hey Lola is rocking my Christmas spirit right now. I am so in love with this ‘Edie’ necklace. I want! All tangled and twisted with vintage tones and accents…would be a perfect present.

1920’s Glamour Puss

This stunning vintage shoot was put together by Vicky Rowe ( Styling) of Vintage Teasets, Bella & Fifi and Floriture (flowers),  Clifton Cakes and photographer Rosie Parsons. Other shout outs needed for the fabulous hair and make up gals – Donna Owens, Sarah Brock & Becky Simpson.

One of the best things about this whole set has got to be the fabulous fashion huh? It looks so authentic and wonderfully unique. They used reproduction and actual vintage dresses supplied by Lindsay Fleming, Elizabeth Avey and Leluxe Clothing. The awesome feathered and diamante head pieces were supplied by Sheena Holland (the crochet wire knit pieces were supplied with the Lindsay Fleming dresses).and wait for it – original 1920’s Manolo Blahniks! Oh hell yes! Well done to everyone involved – truly a triumph.

Sweet Tooth

I actually featured newbie photographer Shannon McLaughlin‘s own wedding  waaaay back in February – many of you may recognise her as Mrs Candy Corn from Wedding Bee. Well, like many of us recent brides, the thought of giving up all things wedding once she’d tied the knot was too much to bear so she decided to venture into wedding photography herself…and oh how pleased we are that she did! She has only had her professional camera for a little over a month and look how awesome she is already!

The recently engaged Veronika & Bryan acted as models for this shoot. Veronika owns her own vintage shop called Sweet Tooth Vintage through the fabulous Etsy so she had lots of amazing outfits to wear. I am also loving the various props and locations used for this shoot – an environmental centre in Philadelphia, the couple’s own home (including their insane number of pets!) and a cuuuute tandem bike!
