This Australian wedding blew me away as soon as I laid eyes on that dress! Shannon & Carl got married in Brisbane and had a vintage glam wedding full of quirky and classically styled delights. I am loving the multi-layered, uber cute dress and accessories that Shannon rocked (including her amazing bouquet - le swoon indeed) and the locations are to die for - the glamourous ceremony hotel contrasts perfectly with rough 'n ready portrait site and the super trendy, waterside reception venue. A wedding of contrasts and a wedding of style. Thanks to newcomer Stephen for sharing one of his very first weddings with us.Read more...

You lucky lucky things, I have yet another post of wonderfulness from Vanessa of Wildberry Design & Studio - the wedding to accompany the amazing Pin Up. Tattooed. Awesomes engagement shoot. Although this wedding has undeniable classic and traditional elements, it's the personal and Rock n Roll touches that 'make' it. They give the wedding the twist it needs to make me fall in love with it - and them! Plus it may well have the most electic and colourful gaggle of guests I've ever seen. Love them! Again, thanks to Vanessa for sharing Credit: Wildberry Design & StudioRead more...

As soon as I laid eyes on James & Rebecca's Melbourne wedding I knew I wanted to blog it. However with photographer Jonas Peterson so in demand by wedding bloggers I thought for sure that someone had beaten me to it. So imagine my elation this morning when I received a tweet from Jonas who asked if I'd like to be the first to blog them...Well of course! The wedding took place at the 300m Eureka Tower in Melbourne which proved a challenge for their dear photographer who admits to having a fear of heights! The results are, of course, astounding. Quite apart from the intense photography - the details, her multi-layers dress in the most flattering dark white shade and the gorgeous venue - make this a wedding I am more than proud to share. Thanks to the ridiculously talented Jonas for sharing these...woooo!Read more...

Good morning blog-land...how are we all? I just wanted to say thank you thank you thank you for the amazing response to the first 'How To Blog' article and I will definitely be writing some more in the future. I have received some brilliant questions relating to the idea of Originality and Connections which I will certainly share with you all soon. Right, back to the gorgeousness and an adorable engagement session from Australian photographer Tim Harris. This Austrialian trash the dress session was taken without the use of any flash, they just had the beautiful natural light to illumitate the scene. Wedding planner and model Brenda Swann totally rocked the gorgeousness...and yes I am in love with her Boring Sidney headband, aren't you? Thanks to Melissa for sending me these... Yesterday Equal Love protests took place all over Australia for the 5th year running. Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Hobart and Canberra all hosted events. Their mission is to change public opinion on gay marriage in their country through education and direct action. Yesterday was a landmark event for them, thousands of people showed up to each venue to witness hundreds of gay and lesbian couples commit their lives to each other in technically illegal ceremonies right in front of these cities' courthouses. Photographer Jessie Broome of J Studios attended the Melbourne event and alongside 4000 others, witnessed 65 couples commit their lives to each other. I personally believe this is a wonderful cause and I fully support the rights of gay couples to marry. I would just like to add that this is not a sponsored post of any kind and that have not been paid to write this article. Jessie sent me the link and I knew I'd have to share it with you all. I feel very strongly that prejudice against gay relationships or marriage is fundamentally wrong and hope though my little blog, I can hopefully highlight this fantastic cause to a few more people. Thans to Jessie for sharing the cause with us and for allowing us to use her images from the event. Credit: J StudiosRead more...

Right my lovelies, prepare to be wowed. I discovered Amanda & Jeffery's wedding when browsing Etsy for a tutu no less. I found seller Monique Martinez of Ouma Clothing who made Amanda's GORGEOUS layered grey, tulle dress and immediately knew I had to try and feature this wedding! The Bridesmaids were treated to similar dresses (but each with their own individual twist) from Ultra Suite and Jeffery and his boys wore suits from Req Square in Queens Plaza Brisbane. The Austrailian couple had their ceremony at the ultra modern Brisbane Powerhouse New Farm and choose local buskers (who were only 16!) to perform the music. Their reception took place at River Room Southbank. Jeffery's family come from Thailand, so in order to incorporate this into their big day, the couple infused their wedding with a beautiful Asian colour scheme. The wedding day was rounded off by a 80's disco that went on late into the night. Thanks so much to Amanda & Jeffery for taking the time to share their gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous day with us! Is today the day of Rock n Roll Australian's or what? After featuring Jess & Dana’s amazing engagements and wedding this morning I feel I need to continue the theme with Ben and Jessamy's urban retro inspired affair. I am loving the Bride's dress from Carla Zampatti and cute shoulder length veil from Wedding Veils Australia. She also got her shoes from Sachi.Read more...

So you thought their Jess & Dana's engagement's were amazing right? Well check their wedding out. Ahhhh I am in love and lust all at the same time! The Groom's crazy cool suit was made from a vintage pattern and the couple said they were going for "a mix-mash of styles with a vintage feel" which I have to say totally works. Why on Earth do you have to stick on one theme?! The Bride didn't wear a wedding dress, she picked it up from her favourite shop in Australia. A ridiculously huge thank you to photographer/videographer extraordinaire Hailey Bartholonew of You Can't Be Serious. I am forever if your wedding debt!Read more...
