last wedding show I was invited to was awesome and after I posted my report, I had so many comments and messages from those of you that had wished you were able to make it. Well good news is that I’ve been invited to attend yet another fabulous wedding event – The Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair in March and I hope to see even more of you there! I was lucky enough to go to this event last year too…and it was awesome!
I have a particular affinity with
Luella’s Boudoir as they provided the incredible backdrop and all the outfits & accessories for The Big fat Wedding Blogger’s Photo Shoot that I organised last month. So, if you swooned over any of the dresses we wore on this shoot then this is the bridal show for you! Some of the exhibitors that will be there include:
Bespoke Events London, Hayford & Rhodes, Rhubarb Food Design, The Little Venice Cake Company, Charlotte Casedejus, Lisa Redman, Jaqueline Byrne, Caroline Atelier, Johanna Johnson, Buttonbelle, Yarwood-White, The Real Princess Company, Magpie Vintage, Jane Taylor Millinery, Rachel Simpson, Freya Rose, Emmy, Diane Hassall, Ell & Cee, Benefit Cosmetics, Beyond Beyond, Emily Quinton, The Utterly Sexy Cafe, Cutture London…and many more!
“ Luella’s Boudoir has teamed up with Cosmopolitan Bride for the second time, to host The Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair, at the beautiful, One Marylebone, in London (the sister venue to the stunning One Mayfair which I wrote about on Friday). Join us for afternoon tea, on Sunday 20th March, 12-5.30pm or come along with your mum and your maids, for an evening of fun and U’Luvka cocktails, on Monday March 21st, 4-9pm.”
“It’s the perfect opportunity to shop for everything you’ll need for your day in one stunning location. And before you leave, be sure to pick up your cool goody bag full of treats. Tickets cost just £12 each (or take along your mum or a friend and get two for the special price of £18) with £2.00 per ticket going towards
The Eve Appeal. Tickets are limited so book yours now by emailing email@example.com or call 020 8879 7744.”
I’ll be there on Monday 21st (the cocktails swung it for me!) and I hope to see a whole load of you Rock n Roll lovelies there too!
EDIT: My catwalk debut will be on Monday 21st! Oh yes I have been asked to strut my stuff with the pro models! Scared and excited. So, if you can come on the Monday to cheer me on/see me (probably) fall on my arse that would be fabulous!

This weeks Sunday Love nomination has to go to all the lovely people who organised and attended the Unveiled photography event on Thursday. I was asked to speak at the event, hosted by The British Journal of Photography (for those of you that don't know, the BJP is the oldest and one of the most internationally renowned photography magazines in the UK - eeek) and sponsored by Hasselblad. No pressure then!

Having a Festival Wedding? Check out FabulousWedFest!
My Fabulous Life
February 9, 2013
Are you having a festival themed wedding? 2012 was certainly the year that this idea exploded into weddings, but it would appear it isn't going anywhere during 2013 either!
This festival-inspired wedding shoot was pulled together by wedding photographer Becky Joiner and Muddifords Court in order to promote their latest venture, the FabulousWedFest wedding show which is taking place on 16th March. Shot in and around the venue itself, and using suppliers that will actually be exhibiting at the fair, this shoot shows that festival weddings are far from over. It's clearly a theme that we're going to see gaining popularity in 2013 and beyond. Wellies at the ready guys!
The Designer Wedding Show February 2010 ♥ Highlights
February 16, 2010
few weeks ago I was offered a couple of tickets to attend The Designer Wedding show in Battersea, London. The event took place from last Friday - Sunday so my friend (and photographer extraordinaire) David McNeil and I thought we'd go check it out in the hope to be inspired, have fun and to actually real-life-meet some of the amazing UK wedding vendors that we've met online. Today I want to share a few of my highlights and photographs from the event so you can see what fun we had. I definitely did and I even got to meet a bunch of Rock n Roll Bride readers. It was the first event I've been to where I actually got recognised which was surreal but certainly nice! Here are some of my (and David's) faves.
♥ Magpie Vintage undoubtedly had one of the busiest stalls of the day. I've wanted to meet Lisa & Tania for ages now and The Designer Wedding show proved to be the perfect opportunity. I wondered up to their stand hoping they'd spot the pink hair and know it was me and as soon as I was within 20 feet I was greeted by Lisa with a massive hug and an "oh my god you look so young!" (haha way to suck up Lisa - you go girl!) and " oh you simply must wear this necklace!" She the proceeded to drape a beautiful powder pink and teal green reclaimed vintage gem around my neck which I was lucky enough to walk around with all day (and yes I did remember to return it after!)
♥ Abbey of Sugalily Stationary and I have been chatting online for months now so it was great to finally meet her in real life. I fell in love with not only her but with her beautiful creations in paper, ribbon and sparkly bits. From retro to classic, colourful to muted, Abbey's display was one of the most indearing there..and she had cupcakes! Now who could say no to that!?
♥ Myself and David had waaaay too much fun at the Booth Nation/Glitterbooth. As we walked past I was instantly drawn to the 8 foot, silver glitter-covered photo booth. We were greeted by Seamus who immediately told us to hop in and give it a go, and inside only a bloomin' built in wind machine (you can see we had fun with that!) I swear to god, if I was getting married again I would totally have one of these. Awesome!
Somewhere Over the Rainbow at The Photography Farm – Preview
September 30, 2011
So this week I spent most of my time hanging out with a bunch of amazing wedding photographers at The Photography Farm, hosted by photographer Lisa Devlin. We drank (way to much) wine and (too many) cocktails, some brave souls swam in the pool or hung out in the jacuzzi...oh and we even threw in a bit of learning too!
A Sunday Kind of Love: Looking Forward
September 2, 2012
On Friday Gareth & I packed up the car (again!) and drove down to Brighton (again!) for another School of Rock blogging workshop. The event was fabulous, my class were ace, and the whole thing left me with a warm n fuzzy feeling inside. As we drove away that night (slightly topped up with the celebratory after-workshop-wines - don't worry Gareth was driving!) I turned to him and gushed away about how incredibly blessed I feel. Like, how is this my life? As someone who tentatively dipped her little toe into the blogosphere all those years ago, I can't quite believe that people now line up to come and hear me speak about my journey. Like seriously... this is nutso. Even Darren Rowse of Problogger is singing my praises. Yeah no big deal or anything...
