Ange and Glen's wedding day started with an intimate ceremony with just 25 guests at Cardiff City Hall. They then moved on to The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for a Wales vs Argentina rugby match! Don't you just love looking at weddings when the emotion completely pours out of the photographs? This is totally applicable for Ash and Pat's Brighton elopement! They wanted a low key and budget-friendly wedding and so were married at Brighton registry office. It was just the two of them, two witnesses and their photographer Sassy of Assassynation in attendance. Sara and Dave were married in November. They had been together for 14 years and have 5 children so having a wedding had never really taken priority, but after visiting the amazing Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza Wedding Show in Birmingham, that all changed! "We met when I visited the local tattoo studio where Dave worked", began the bride. "We got chatting and basically things progressed pretty quickly. We both shared similar interests including, of course, tattoos and body piercing. We definitely live life to the full and how we want to. We have 5 super kids, 3 boys and 2 girls. They met in Manchester in 2001 while they were both at University. He asked her to join his band even though he didn't have one yet. At their Islington wedding, 12 years later, many of the friends they made during this time were there as witnesses. "We considered many themes briefly but decided in the end just to try to make the day as relaxed and informal as we could while still making it feel like a special event", explained the bride. When Wendy and Alex started looking for a venue for their July wedding, they were stuck. They wanted somewhere quirky and creative but also somewhere that didn't break the bank. Luckily they stumbled across Asylym Arts in North London, a disused chapel that is now hired out for weddings and events. The space has a crumbling almost derelict vibe which they loved. The dramatic backdrop meant they didn't need to decorate much, so they just added candles, tea lights and simple flower arrangements around the room.Read more...

I'm not going to lie, I'm a little freaked out by this shoot... in fact I'm damn right scared. I don't think I'd like to get stuck in a dark alley with this pair as lovely as I bet they are when they're not covered in fake blood. Amy & Paul went all out with this post-wedding shoot - murder, fake blood, suicide and all! Warning: this baby is not for the faint hearted. Tattoos, tears and a seriously cute couple. Toni & Colin's wedding is what my dreams are made of. These guys are THE perfect Rock n Roll couple and they're wedding slays me. Plus they had Sassy of Assassynation as their wedding photographer so they instantly go way up in the cool stakes with me! The wedding was held at The Quay, Musselburgh, on 10th November. "Colin and I met online what feels like a life time ago but wasn't all that long ago in the grand scheme of things", Toni began. "We spoke for a month or so online and then he made plans to come over from Northern Ireland to visit me in Edinburgh. 'I'll come for the weekend,' he said. Well, he arrived and he's yet to leave! It seems that recently not a week goes by when I don't get a flippin' incredible wedding submission from wedding photographer Assassynation... This woman is just a magnet for awesome weddings! It must be because so many of her couples find her through Rock n Roll Bride - not that I'm biased or anything but it is widely accepted that that Rock n Roll Bride readers are the coolest couples, like, ever. So when Kenna & Scott's nuptials slipped their way into my inbox a few weeks ago I, as ever, couldn't wait to get them on my blog. The intimate wedding took place in France and Monaco. The bride & groom just bought their maid of honour and her partner as witnesses. They hand no other guests. The ceremony was at L'Abbaye in La Colle Sur Loup, in the south of France and for the reception, they hopped over the border to Monaco for a low-key meal at the four star luxury resort of The Fairmont in Monte Carlo.Read more...

Lauren & Matt's started their wedding planning knowing exactly what they wanted: something relaxed, stress-free and fun. They were lucky enough to have a friend whose parents own a farm, so everything else really stemmed from that. Lauren told me all about it. When the Summer rolls round what's the first thing many of us get excited about? Festivals! So it's hardly surprising that so many Rock n Roll Brides (and grooms!) are taking wedding inspiration from their favourite past time. Warm beer, dodgy food, mud & sleeping in a tent... What's not to love!? Haha joking! Becci & Tom favour the UK's biggest rock festival, Glastonbury, and so started here with their ideas including their wedding cake that was inspired by the Ribbon Tower and the song lyric centerpieces. Kate & Doug's backyard wedding took place in Kent in June. Kate designed her own dress, hand-crafted the decor and played in a band with her husband at the reception! She told me all about their magical day. "We have been together for 10 years so we really wanted to have a proper big wedding to cement our relationship and have a blast with our friends and family. I really wanted to get married in the garden of England, Kent, where I grew up and have a proper English country wedding. So we started looking at venues and found Ratsbury Barn, a beautiful 17th century Kentish barn in Tenterden for the ceremony. Then, my Mother's boyfriend who lives down the road very kindly offered to let us use his amazing place for the reception!
