Nothing says Halloween wedding more than the Corpse Bride and this shoot may be one of the best homages we've ever seen. In fact we loved it so much, we made it the cover shoot for our November/December print issue which dropped yesterday! It blends slight Victorian-inspired details with modern drapery and design elements, bringing together a touch of the past and present for a hauntingly beautiful, editorial goth vibe.

Sophie and Michael's love of Tim Burton movies, particularly, Nightmare Before Christmas, inspired their November wedding. They were influenced by the aesthetics of Halloween Town, which is dark and creepy but has pops of colour. The bride had a black and white striped dress made for her by Rosie Red Corsetry & Couture which she wore with an OGSquad crown. The decorations were all homemade and their handfasting ceremony, led by a friend, featured the vows from Corpse Bride.

Known locally as 'Edinburgh’s answer to the Sistine Chapel', the exquisite, neo-Romanesque former church was an opulent setting for their March celebration. Patrizio and Roberto met on an online. Although they lived 250 miles apart, after a few weeks of chatting they decided to meet up and the rest, as the old cliche goes, is history. They were inspired by Tim Burton for their wedding, which took place in Asti, north Italy. They took ideas from his films for the wedding decor including their table centrepieces, stationery design and the cake.
