Lakefest: The Ideal Hen Do for Festival Lovers!

June 14, 2015

Lakefest 22

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with plastic willies, L plates and strippers… in actual fact I’ve been to many hilariously awesome hen dos just like this and had an utter ball. But if you want to do something that’s more muddy than smutty, how about heading to a festival with your best girls!?

Set within the stunning Cotswolds landscape, Lakefest, and it’s eclectic atmosphere, is the ultimate hen do idea for music and festival lovers. Taking place from from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August 2015, already confirmed acts include Ash, Embrace, The Magic Numbers and Billy Bragg (with more to be announced soon!)

And if roughing it isn’t your bag, they also offer a wide choice of accommodation options. If you want to sleep under the stars then their well-equipped and scenic camping sites are top notch, or for those of you who prefer a more luxurious experience, their glamping options (including cabins, chalets, tipis and even a pod village for those that really want to live it up) are totally the way forwards!

Want to get a feel of how the festival goes down? Be sure to check out this video from last year!

Discount Ticket Offer!

Tickets for a Thursday 6th August arrival cost £105 (excluding booking fee) and if you want to rock up on Friday 7th August, it’s £95 (excluding booking fee) each.

However I am excited to let you know that Lakefest are offering an exclusive promotion for Rock n Roll brides, whereby you’ll get a discount of £10 per ticket when ten or more are purchased together*. This means it’s an even more perfect idea for hen and stag parties.

So whether you’re a bride-to-be that really loves music, or you just want to buck tradition and do something completely different, be sure to check out Lakefest. You’ll have a blast!

*Discount automatically applied when ten or more tickets are purchased together.

We are currently in the booking stage of Vegas for our wedding, with our flights and hotel booked we are now lookin at chapels and hotel weddings. We stumbled across this a few months back and thought it was beyond awesome.

Who else gets married by a midget dressed as Jean Simmons!

We are honeymooning in the Hard Rock Hotel towards the end of our Vegas wedding and will deffo be up for a rock n roll game of mini golf but maybe we will hold off on the ceremony 😉 it would be enough to give my mother a heartattack! If anyone has any recommendations on places to get married in Vegas then please let me know!

MissKimberlina – Lisa stayed in the hard rock when we were in vegas and it was AMAZING. what other hotel plays black sabbath and motley through its PA system and has AMAZING rock memorabilia hanging on the walls!? Im proper jealous.

OMG you have to have your ceremony at this kiss chapel it would be SO PERFECT!

Well we are struggling with finding the perfect place to have the ceremony at the moment hence the recommendations request! The worlds most populated wedding capital and yet I cant find anywhere that ticks all the boxes! We initially wanted to stay away from the tacky kinda weddings out there but enless you have a bucket load of cash to book the bellagio then this may be our most rock n roll option!

We just renewed our vows here on Thursday, March 28th. It was awesome! Gene did the ceremony and he was just fantastic! We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel as well. That hotel was the best. Gonna stay there again next time we head out to Vegas.

My partner and I got married here on 31/10/2013 – It was brilliant! At first I was dubious of the idea as neither of us are massive KISS fans, however we knew that we wanted to get married in Vegas and we knew that we didn’t want a sensible wedding,so this ended up being the perfect fit!
We stayed at the Palazzo hotel (AMAZING) and travelled to the venue by taxi – I think it took about 15 mins (in heavy traffic) and cost approx 10 dollars.
I used Bianca @ Amelia C and Co for my hair and make up, and would certainly recommend her/ them to any other UK brides heading out to Vegas to get hitched. My wedding flowers were from another Las Vegas company, flowers of the field, who prepared an amazing bouquet of plum calla lillies with black feathers for a touch of halloween glam!
There were 20 of us in attendance at the ceremony and there was enough room for everyone to be seated. We were able to bring our own music for walking in and out to (so it wasn’t all KISS!) although our vows did involve KISS lyrics and our own personal vows.
Perfect day, awesome venue and great staff!

My fiancee is the biggest KISS family ever and has met the band members in the past. He has even received a phone call from Gene Simmons about the huge picture book he got. I’d there any cHance we could schedule a wedding with Gene and Paul attending? It would be our dream of a lifetime!!!!
