Jayne and Kyle met in the tattoo shop where Kyle works. They started dating a few months after that and they moved in together really quickly. For their May wedding at Perry’s Landing, an events space in Georgia, they wanted something low key and intimate.

“Our wedding was simple, but also kinda fancy”, began the bride. “It was country with a flare. The best bit of the day was definitely the ceremony. It’s totally cliché but that’s the only part I really cared about. The rest of the night was fun and awesome with awkward dancing and drinking, but really the part that really mattered was standing at the alter marrying my best friend.”

“I do wish we’d spent less money”, she admitted. “We saved a lot by Kyle tattooing our photographer, hair stylist and make up artist in exchange for their services, but no matter how amazing the wedding was, and how many awesome memories we now have, we spent so much money on the venue and dress and everything else for just a few hours. Of course I loved every minute but being realising I wish we could have made it cheaper.”

“So my advice to other couples would be to pay attention to your budget! Don’t over do it. It’s going to be special no matter how much money you spend. What really matters is that you are standing up marrying the man or woman you want to spend the rest of your life with. After those eight hours, those thousands of dollars you spent will be nothing compared to the fact that you now get to spend your life with the person you love.
