Christopher and Emily reflected on their own likes, interests and things they have in common to draw inspiration for their October 2018 wedding. Their vision for the day was dark, moody and whimsical, with nods to Halloween since their wedding date was October 13th. They planned the whole day themselves, and wanted it to be a true reflection of their style and personalities, focusing on themselves rather that what was trending online, and didn’t listen to other people’s opinions on what a wedding should, or should not, include.

Armed with a $35,000 (AUD) budget, Kelli and Gerard set about finding themselves a venue to host their day. They settled on Gum Gully Farm, situated in the beautiful foothills of the Dandenong Ranges near Melbourne, a rustic and intimate space that felt just perfect for them as it was laid back and easygoing. It also had the perk that they were able to bring in their alcohol for the staff to serve, which helped to keep costs down.

Linsey and Andrew have a mutual love of black and vintage as well as moody, dramatic landscapes. They wanted their wedding day to encompass all these things so it truly represent them. They also wanted their day to just be about them, so they decided to elope. They decided not to tell anyone about the wedding beforehand and thought the isolated landscape of Iceland was the perfect place However there were actually three people involved because Linsey was pregnant!
