Ever since Tim & Merrill's engagements, I have been waiting with bated breath for what feels like a lifetime for this wedding to happen and the photographs to be shared! Not only is Mark Brooke a photographer I simply adore, but the Groom is photographer Tim Melideo so I just knew the results would be nothing less than spectacular. I am quite frankly anything but disappointed! In fact I love these so much I could actually squeal. Tim & Merrill have got some style that deserves some serious envy. The boys are rocking their same look different tie thing and the girls just look ridiculously gorgeous in their pink dress/bright flowers combo.Read more...

Happy Sunday and a very Happy Father's day to you all. Posting will be slim today as I am cooking up the most amazing contest which I will launch tomorrow...believe me, it's worth checking back! The light, bright and fresh colour palate of this gorgeous wedding has been perfectly mimicked by Benj Haisch's gorgeous photography. The whole effect is a chilled out, cool and calm one and they seem to have had an absolute blast! Thanks to Benj Haisch for this submission - photographers, if you too fancy seeing your work on Rock n Roll Bride, drop me a little email why don't ya?Read more...

Jess & Mike were really excited about having a really low-key party where their friends from all over and families could all be together and that's exactly what they delivered. The wedding was all in one place at the Valley Green Inn up in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. It was a quick outdoor ceremony officiated by Jess' uncle. The couple chose not to have rings and opted for a very simplistic approach to their flower, using little bundles of wild flowers for the bouquets. Jess made her own gorgeous red dress out of a vintage evening gown and also made all the decorations inside the restaurant which included tin can lanterns, string lights and a garland hung from the ceiling. Jess and Mike weren't too concerned with lots of family groups, but more with photos of everyone hanging out and having a good time. Colin Leaman came along to assist the main photographer Amanda and set up a little photo booth area for which Jess brought along tons of hats and wigs and other props for her guests to use in the funny photos. As an added touch, the couple requested friends and family write down three songs that they would love to hear at the wedding on their invitation replies so that evertbody got to hear something they liked at the receptionRead more...

Ever since our honeymoon in Japan, I have been obsessed with all things Japanese - whether that be Hello Kitty, the ridiculously scary horror movies, the food (my friends will vouch for this one - I don't think anyone has a sushi obsession like me) the fashion or just all things generally kawaii! This Japanese influenced wedding was sent to me by photographer Aaron Spicer, he describes the day: Kyle and Nicole were married on Sunday May 17th, 2009 in Richmond, VA at Maymont Park in the Japanese Gardens. The ceremony took place by a rustic Japanese pagoda that neighbors a Koi pond. Everything that could be done DIY, was. Nicole's mother made her dress and all of the bridesmaids dresses. Kyle and Nicole handmade over five hundred origami cranes, and gift boxes that included wasabi peas, ginger candy and other Japanese treats. Nicole's sister designed the wedding programs, as well. The bridesmaids all carried parasols, and the groomsmen all wore red Converse All-Stars to match Nicole's red shoes. Nicole carried purple lilies. The reception was held in a tent on the grounds of Maymont. It was decorated with origami cranes, lit votives and Japanese lanterns. The night concluded with a traditional money dance set to a polka dance. Yep, Japan is definitely amazing. I want to live there please!Read more...

Melissa and Nate had a perfectly personal wedding last May in Logan, Utah. Melissa's wore a vintage dress, and Nate's suit was pinstriped and fitted. They had one of their favourite bands, Mates of State, playing throughout their reception and the whole day had a homely, indie, persoanal feel. The couple DIY'd a-plenty including the framed bride and groom silhouettes that Melissa made and the cake, which was made by the groom's sister.Read more...

The reader's survey has now closed. I will be announcing the winner and sharing some of the results later on today. However reader, XX said I should be featuring more same sex weddings, which of course I would love too - but it all depends on what I'm sent or what I find on my wedding hunts. However today you are in luck, as photographer Stephen Loewinsohn send me this gorgeous, and stylish lesbian wedding just yesterday! Stephen said: These brides have tons of rockstar style and swagger, and their wedding was just gorgeous in every way. From the amazing outdoor setting, to the beautiful and delicious food, awesome outfits, and just the feeling of love in the air, this was just a really special wedding. As you know, same-sex marriages are no longer legally recognized in the state of California, but these brides love each other so much that they decided to go ahead and have an awesome wedding anyway. I'm a strong believer in marriage equality as believe you are too. This wedding was an act of rebellion against a stupid law, and what's more rock 'n' roll than rebellion? Definitely rock n roll and definitely beautiful! Thank you so much Stephen!Read more...

There is something about this wedding that is not only classy and elegant but childlike and playful...what a great combo!
