The Bike, The Pinata & The Purple Monkey

I have so much to say about this awesome engagement shoot that I almost don’t know where to start…maybe the beginning? Photographer Thomas has pretty much hit the jackpot with Bobbi & Shelby – gorgeous, cool, tattooed, individual, up for it – what more could you want?

The couple came up with the ideas for this shoot themselves starting with a seedy motel scene, the setting is right out of a 70’s road trip movie complete with peeling paint, a broken television and retro signage. They then headed out, firstly to a junkyard and then to a field where they lay around looking gorgeous and had some fun on a bike…with a pinata (of course!)

Following this came the grand finale. Inspired by the now iconic Tanja Lippert ‘Chicken and the Naked Chick’ engagement shoot, Shelby donned a giant purple monkey suit and Bobbi well..got naked! Love love love….I just adore these.

Cathedral of Junk

I’ve got a second kick ass bridal shoot for you today. This self-titled ‘Cathedral of Junk’ shoot had me as soon as I saw this gal’s green and purple tresses and of course her ink. The junkyard location is just perfecto and creates such a unique mood.

Punk Rock with Pink Hair

Although Tiffany & Alan are technically already married, they never had a ‘proper’ wedding and so decided they needed to do it all again – only this time better! The couple, who already have a 4 month old baby (you would never guess after looking at the teeny tiny Tiffany – erm wow hot mama!) will be re-tying the knot next month and I can not wait to see the results!

Hot Rod

There is just something about Ashley & Tyson that I can’t get enough of. Ever since I received these images from photographers J+C Photography I haven’t been able to keep my eyes off them.

On this blisteringly hot day, the couple chose cars to be the main feature of their shoot. They started with a Ford Fairline but when the classic Chevy pickup pulled in they switched vehicles immediately!

Awesome Locations

Chad & Erin of Fuller Edge always choose the most awesome locations for their shoots. With Angel & Craig, who rocked their wedding with skull cufflinks, converse trainers, a pink wedding dress and adorable pink and green details (clicky here for the full set), Chad & Erin took them to a junkyard for these fab shots. I am loving the use of water and the texture in every single image. Wonderful!

Thanks to Chad & Erin for sending these to me. I always adore their work!

Water Baby

As trash the dress goes, it doesn’t get much better than getting in some water and thrashing about in your gown. Yes, it’s been done and we’ve seen it all before but who cares? You’ll have a hell lot of fun and get some awesome photographs to boot!

Thanks to the ever so gorgeous Tab for sharing this session. Mwah!

To Die For…

A junkyard, a vintage shop, awesome outfits, the longest legs in the world (probably)…what more could you ask for? I want to be this couple…who would have thought you could have so much glamour in one engagement shoot? Also the escalator shot reminded me of our engagement shoot too and that made me happy :o) clicky & clicky!

Thanks Jen, you are actually Rock Stars right? Oh and please can I have your legs!?
