Are you ever just tempted to run away to a beautiful, secret location and say your vows? I bet a lot of you have actually! If so, you’re going to be totally inspired by this ‘Wild as Wind’ editorial which was sent in from New Zealand.

“We were inspired by movement, texture, nature and a graceful pink haired tattooed ballerina as wild as wind”, said photographer Dawn Thomson. “This is the tale a ballerina bride who finds solace in movement and music and runs to the mountains in the flow of the wind anticipating a reunion with her lover.”

“Our ballerina awaits her lover in an abandoned house… She writes him love letters…. Plays music and yearns to be by his side. She runs to the mountains to dance up a frenzy of excited anticipation to see her lover again…”

“We used an old worn out house that had heaps of history and character”, she continued. “The magnificent property has the most incredible views and initially this was the inspiration for the shoot. As the photographer I have always wanted to photograph a ballerina and this seemed like the perfect excuse to do so. It just so happened that our ballerina had pink hair and the most amazing tattoos! We visualised our ballerina dancing in the mountains with the wind in her hair and skirts as she dreamed of marrying her lover.”
