Mikee and Magdalena eloped in Las Vegas and didn’t get great wedding photographs. So when they got back home to Australia they decided to put their wedding outfits back on and create a wedding album that they could cherish forever.
“From the first email I sent back and forth with this bride I knew this was going to be something special”, explained Amanda of Peppermint Photography . “I wanted to do this shoot because I was drawn to this couple who do things completely on their own terms and in their own way. The shoot was not just to create the wedding album of their dreams, it was a chance to relive their special day and pass on an heirloom to their children.”
“The shoot took place in various areas of Inner City Brisbane in Queensland. Magdalena made her own wedding dress without a pattern! I hope these photos inspire brides to be more creative and to bring their dreams to life for their special day.”

A Farm Wedding with Fancy Dress, Fun & Frolics: Lauren & Matt

Lauren & Matt's started their wedding planning knowing exactly what they wanted: something relaxed, stress-free and fun. They were lucky enough to have a friend whose parents own a farm, so everything else really stemmed from that. Lauren told me all about it. "As soon as we got engaged we knew how we wanted our wedding to be, we just didn't know how to do it! The first and most important thing was to find a photographer. Being a enthusiastic photographer myself, I spent weeks searching for one that she liked, we finally came across Sassy of Assassynation and sent an excited email straight away. She immediately told us to phone her for a chat as we hadn't set a date yet, but when she told us she only had 2 Saturdays free in the 3 months that we were looking at we booked her there and then! Everything else was then planned around her."

Whenever the sun shines in London about 80% of the population speculate going to the beach and Brighton is usually the first port of call. It's quirky, it's quaint, it's nostalgic, it's hilariously British and it has a killer night life! So when it came for Charlie & Ross to have their 'Cherish the Dress' wedding shoot, where better to descend then this wonderful beach location!? The couple actually got married in December so they thought the juxtapositionof having some lovely, warming, outdoor shots would be absolutely perfecto.

Chelsea and Randy eloped and so didn't have professional photographs taken. But they wanted something to remember this special time in their lives so they booked Joan and Jon of BellowBlue Photography for a photo session that completely optimised them. This was not a styled shoot, it took place at their own home, decked out in all it's retro finery. They used their own car that they drive every day. The barber shop is where Randy works.

Lisa & Geoff are awesome. So awesome in fact that my friends over at 100 Layer Cake also realised their awesomeness and have blogged their entire wedding over on their site today. Right here though I'm all about their amazing day after shoot at The California State Fair. I'm pretty sure the fairground photo shoot sinario is one I'm not going to tire of easily - so much colour and fun!
Thanks to the lovely Sarah for sending these in and thanks to Jillian over at 100 Layer Cake for working with me on this feature - be sure to go check out their post asap!
