At Home with Hannah & Ali – An Engagement with a Difference
January 9, 2010
I wanted to try my damnedest to avoid sounding like some kinda of dumb jock as I wrote this but I think it is inevitable. When you see these you’ll understand me saying “Duuuuue these freakin’ RULE!”
Hannah & Ali chose to have their engagement session at home – and when you’ve got a house as intriguing and filled to the rafters with so many individual and quirky touches then why wouldn’t you? Plus the pussy cats got to play too and that’s always a good thing.
Thanks to Steve for sharing this awesome couple with me. Their style and fabulousness is just over the top ridic.

When David & Ruth started to think about the kind of theme they'd like for their engagement session and up coming wedding they realised that they wanted to do something that celebrated their life together and their upcoming marriage. All the Fun of the Fair
April 13, 2010
Amy & Darren are a gorgeous, fun and music-loving couple who are getting married this June in the New Forest. The idea for their engagement shoot was just to follow them having fun and sharing the things they love. "We started the shoot at their place in Blackheath, London" photographer Sarah told me "with me shooting from the mezzanine down on them lying amongst a fraction of their 5000-strong record collection, even Martha the cat wanted a piece of the action!"
"Next, we took a trip up the road to take advantage of the gorgeous evening light at the May bank holiday fair on Blackheath, finishing with a stroll through Greenwich Park to the bandstand which holds a romantic significance to them as a couple as it's where they spent a lot of time together when they first started courting."

Ethical Wedding at Home: Feng & David
December 6, 2012
Simple weddings are often the best, and for Feng & David, doing something low-key and ethical was important. So they had a super tiny civil ceremony with only their closest friends and family in attendance, and hosted the reception at their own house! Yes, Feng put on an apron and served all the food herself!
"Our wedding budget was £1500, but we went over this with our photographer and our rings", began the bride. "Our rings were pretty expensive as they were custom made using fair-trade gold, recycled gold & conflict-free gems by Amanda Li Hope. We were married at Oxford Registry Office and our reception was in our tiny house in East Oxford."

The Wedding That Trended on Twitter
November 29, 2016
Nicky and David were married in East London. They had a relatively small budget of £5000 but they were able to make it stretch by avoiding wedding specific items wherever possible. They hosted their reception in a town hall, the bride wore a dress from Monsoon, they had a homemade cake and put all the flowers together themselves. They even skipped the wedding car, choosing to get the train between their ceremony and reception venues.
