44 Jaw Dropping Weddings That Cost Under £5000

44 budget weddings under 5000 alternative weddings

I am passionate about proving that when it comes to your wedding, its not what you spend, its how you spend it! Shhh don’t tell anyone, but the nuptials I feature with minuscule amounts of money in the pot are always secretly my favourites too.

That’s not to say that bigger budget weddings are in any way inferior, it’s just that I’m always so impressed with what people are able to achieve with a a lower than average amount of cash to spend, but a higher than average knack for getting creative!

Whatever amount of money you’re splashing on your own big day, I  just know you’re going to enjoy looking through this inspiring bunch.

  1. It’s not the money you spend, it’s the love you invest … But don’t forget excellent wedding photography! Don’t scrimp on that one! Great weddings! Love the geeky gamer pixel wedding the bestest! X

loved all of them. I am hoping to make our vow renewal(never had a party)as inexpensive as possible. Working with a budget in this city(very expensive) will take a little miracle..

  3. I just want to say that I love your blog. I am a wedding lover anyway and I adore seeing all the inspiration and sharing a small part of someone’s big day. Weddings are so precious and I believe you completely understand that. Thank you so much for sharing the love for weddings, the love between partners and the love of family and friends x x

  4. Our wedding was $9500 Aussie. We had 70 guests, plus 5 in the bridal party.
WE DIY’ed heaps. All the wedding stationary, flowers, decorations, napkins & table clothes, bunting, we even made our own punch, cordial & limoncello. I trawled eBay for wedding favours, flameless candles, bubbles, hankies, fabric for napkins.
I made all the outfits for the wedding party, except my bloke’s suit, the guys hats & our shoes.
Everything was at the one venue, a winery which meant not cars required & we had use of the B & B cottage to get ready & stay the night. The food was amazing & they catered to our budget & the view over the Yarra Valley was spectacular.

Love it. I spent £5000 on my wedding, and now I do feel like I could have done it for a bit less if I’d really tried.

Definitely spend your money on the bits that were important to you. Ours was the photographer and a ceilidh band, both were worth every penny.

I’ve just bookmarked this page. A lot of work obviously went into pulling all of this together for us. Thank you! (I can’t stop clicking on these weddings!)

WOW!I work on a printing company, and some brides do the invitation cards with me. Sometimes they tell me ” I spent somenting like £50000 for all the wedding”. It’s sad! Still have hope to spend £5000 like these girls.
