Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean? Dr. Emmett Brown: The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Back to the Future is my favourite movie. Like ever...I am also quite partial to the sequels and am still convinced that in 5 years time we will all have hover boards. I even have a die-cast Delorean on my windowsill that Gareth got me one Christmas...yes I am that much of a geek. So when I saw this engagement shoot starring my ultimate dream car (shh don't tell the Honda outside) well there was no way I wasn't going to feature it! "I was shooting this couple at an airport with their plane and some dude came out of the hangar and said that we should use his Delorean" photographer Carl told me. "I was like, YES AND YES! It was epic!"Read more...

There are certain photographers that I equate to rock star status and Sean Flanigan is definately one of these. So you can imagine my excitement when he sent me Julia & Yuriy's recent engagement sesh for a potential feature. Would I like to blog them? Hell to the yes I would! Not only are this couple hella gorgeous but the simplicity of these images (no props, rad vintage car) makes Sean's amazing technically ability stand out even more and creates an utterly endearing and well, even more awesome set of images. I approve!Read more...

Dylan & Grace will be riding their bikes (packed with wedding gear) to their venue about 90 miles north of Seattle. They are having a fabulous intimate event with 20 of their closest family and friends...and photographer Desiree in tow. That's what photographer Belletold me when these landed in my inbox last week. "Katie and Aaron wanted a shoot that really captured their intimacy and also their unique sense of style. Aaron is an aspiring fashion designer. His line is called "Anticonformity and Filthy", and most of what him and Katie are rockin' in the photos are his creation. Never judge a book by its cover, because while they may look edgy in the photos, they were one of the sweetest couples to work with."Read more...

Allie & Patrick's engagement was designed around the idea of balance and contrast. They decided to go for two different looks "One, a very warm, vintage-y, backlit and natural look with texture and colors like yellows, browns and whites, and the second, very cool, city street, look with lots of blues, turquoise and blacks! photographer Rhys explained. "The idea and challenge was to shoot both looks similarly in terms of composition, but come out with two very different looking sessions, so that they could be displayed side by side allowing the contrasts to really play off of each other. Allie and Patrick loved it because it allowed them to show off all aspects of their personalities; both are incredibly stylish, but also love to just be ridiculous and have fun."Read more...

I know you will love these so they really don't need much introduction. When I saw a sneak peek on Matt's Twitter I was straight on it to secure the exclusive to share these with you. Angela & Jonard's shoot took place at Griffith Park in LA and Angela had the most amazing little dresses made from an Arizona clothing designer Monique Martinez of OUMA Clothing.Read more...

Kim & Josh's springtime engagement shoot took place at Meridian Hill Park in Washington DC. The leaf bouquet Kim & Josh had made from a cutting of a plant they were growing it in a vase. When photographer Levi, ran the idea of having flowers play a part in the shoot, instead of going out and buying cut flowers, they all thought it would be great to use a plant that they plan to grow for a long time...almost like a symbol of their love.Read more...

I'm a big Beatles fan. I love the emotion and feeling behind their lyrics, so much so that our first dance was 'All you need is Love' - the words of which I have tattooed on the inside of my wrist! So when photographer Amelia sent me Rachel & Joey's Beatles themed engagement sesh, I jumped at the chance of a feature. I adore the adaptions of each song and famous moment - especially of course the John & Yoko Hair Peace Bed Peace scene. How many can you spot?Read more...

This is my second South African post within so many days and I'm pretty sure you're gonna dig this one just as much as the last. The lovely Laura actually found photographer Kat Forsyth through a post on Rock n Roll Bride so this session is even a little extra special to me. The Australian bride-to-be will be marrying her South African sweetheart Gustav (who she met in the UK - boy are these guys travelled!) back in Australia later this year and judging from the coolness of this engagement session, I just know their wedding is going to be Rock n Roll Bride worthy!Read more...

Amy & Darren are a gorgeous, fun and music-loving couple who are getting married this June in the New Forest. The idea for their engagement shoot was just to follow them having fun and sharing the things they love. "We started the shoot at their place in Blackheath, London" photographer Sarah told me "with me shooting from the mezzanine down on them lying amongst a fraction of their 5000-strong record collection, even Martha the cat wanted a piece of the action!" "Next, we took a trip up the road to take advantage of the gorgeous evening light at the May bank holiday fair on Blackheath, finishing with a stroll through Greenwich Park to the bandstand which holds a romantic significance to them as a couple as it's where they spent a lot of time together when they first started courting."Read more...

Oh how I love the crazy, mad world that MangoRED create with their photography. Who else could come up with something so magical, hilarious, joyful and original!? This scarlet-themed, soft, cool, old school/new school vintage session was sent over today by Jessika of December Photography. "I've been seeking clients who want something different " she told me. "I love experimenting and new ideas to channel my creativity. This engagement session had an old school/new school vintage theme. Outfits were organized only by colors. My vision was 'vogue meets nylon, and bring the chair'. I wanted some things to be out of place and clash, yet tie together beautifully in the end. While editing them, I kept with the vintage theme, de-saturated, vignettes, and warm/cool tones. The couple was very fun and up for anything, they made the pictures what they are!"Read more...

Colin & Sara Jane 's mutual affection for all things urban made their choice of engagement shoot location a no-brainer. When they asked photographer Bob Miller to photograph them in downtown Birmingham (USA) for their engagement, his goal was to use the city's character and their favorite locations as a backdrop for their new love affair...I'm pretty sure he achieved that one!Read more...

I'm filing this under 'engagement' because I'd love to think someone will be inspired by these for their own engagement shoot. So, technically this isn't a wedding-related photo shoot at all, but when Chris & Dani of Chris Barber Media headed up to Scotland last week, they ended up taking some pretty damn stunning images. and well, I just HAD to share them. The landscape is incredible, the water is awe-inspiring and the subjects are such fun (love the instax shots - swoon!)Read more...

When photographer's Kel & Mar turned up at Richard & Josephine's hotel room they were brimming over with ideas and excitement for their engagement shoot. However, after seeing the chaos of the room all the ideas were scrapped in favour of a much more 'real' photo shoot location. Finally, a shoot that makes me proud to not have a perfect, immaculate 'magazine-worth' house myself!Read more...

Sandra & Colin's engagement sessions makes me smile! You might recognise Sandra, as she was one of my Top 10 entries for my contest of LOVE (she's the gal with the 'Rock n Roll' moustache - don't ya just love it?!) so I was over the moon to receive this photo session in my inbox from their photographer Jes. Adorable, goofy, ballsy, fun...you gotta love these two!Read more...

Jennifer & Ian's vintage garden engagement shoot is just so British - I love it! The slightly damp weather, the funky patterned wellies, the wheelbarrow and the greenhouse... I'm very much looking forward to seeing this couple's vintage themed Scottish wedding in May and I hope photographer Fjona will be sending the images straight over to me afterwards - think VW van, Scottish tablet in jam jars, old fashioned luggage labels and more wellies. It's going to be awesome I'm sure!Read more...
