May 30, 2011

Part two of today's continental invasion comes from French photographer Davidone who sent over Pierre & Christine's Circus themed wedding just last week. Christine is a famous illustrator and Pierre is a photographer himself, so needless to say their wedding was going to be super creative and beautiful captured. Christine wore a Pronuptia dress while Pierre wore Vivienne Westwood. Their fun and quirky nature really does come though in all these images, especially the fun portrait session. Alena & Geoff’s Circus-Themed Costume Party Wedding

Kat

April 11, 2011

Alena & Geoff were married at The Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara. Their fancy dress, circus themed day was certainly a show-stopper, especially as the majority of their guests really got into the swing of it and made a real effort with their outfits. "We invited our guests to dress up, and that made them fully participate in all aspects of the circus/carnival wedding," they told me. "We had 2 guests as 'door clowns' who checked people in, gave them clown noses and flags. We had a popcorn man in the lobby of the ceremony giving out popcorn bags. We borrowed huge circus banners from other friends and used them to decorate for the reception."

Annette & Chris’ Fancy Dress Victorian Circus Themed Wedding

Kat

March 17, 2011

Annette & Chris had a fancy dress/steampunk themed wedding in Liverpool. The bride wore a corset purchased from Corsets UK and a skirt from MTCoffinzUnderground on Etsy. "My dress wasn't technically a 'dress' as it was a Corset and a separate skirt," the bride told me. "I bought the white and black steel boned corset for around £60 and the skirt, which was described as a 'Victorian Lace Gothic Ball Gown', cost around £100." She also wore Victorian-style black ankle boots which she hired from a fancy dress shop! Chris hired his unique outfit from a fancy dress shop too.

Michael & Chloe’s Seriously Bad Ass Festival/Circus Wedding

Kat

January 20, 2011

Michael & Chloe got married in the Circadia Circus Tent at Woodford Folk Festival, Australia. I think that's all I have to say to let you know that this wedding is seriously bad ass and awesome right? The bride wore a handmade dress and Wellington boots (festivals are muddy!) and the entire wedding was organized by the 'Circadia' team. The couple didn't have bridesmaids, groomsmen or flowers, but they had a cake organized by Michael's sisters (and a sweetie table, again organized for them by their family!) Bogan Bingo - a 90's hair band doing a "bogan" version of Bingo - entertained the guests before the wedding began.

December 14, 2010

I was sent Troyene & Michael's wedding and day after sesh by their photographer Lara and I have to be honest I was instantly smitten with her dress! As a lady who loves a bit of multi-coloured action myself, I couldn't wait to feature both sets of images together. The is one hell of a bumper post full of rainbow joy (check out the cake and umbrella too!) The dress is question was created for the bride by a friend and she wore it with Vivienne Westwood shoes. Oh how I love this girl's style.

Carnival Crazy

February 7, 2010

Dina & Gary's 1920's vaudeville carnival themed wedding makes me wanna squeal. I wish wish wish we'd done something as fabulous as this when we got hitched. The wedding took place at Asbury Park, New Jersey and the pair really went to town with their theme - from popcorn and candy for the guests, a sideshow performance, goldfish in bowls... in fact everything you might expect to find at a carnival! Dina wore a custom dress (made by a friend) and wore jewellery and carried a candy bouquet made by another friend Melissa Heid. Just. Wow. Thanks to Brandi for sharing this awesome day with us. Woooo!

Vagabond Lovers

January 7, 2010

Ryan & Cha Cha's engagement session blows everything else out of the water. An eclectic, colourful, hilarious, circus, wonderland styled shoot looks like absolute crazy fun. A sugarcane plantation in Northern Cebu was the perfect backdrop for our quirky theme of vagabond lovers. Hats, clown figurines, a colored umbrella, truck load of clothes, bicycles, and a purple teddy bear. Pure craziness in the middle of nowhere! A massive thanks to Jeff, Jon, and Gilby of Rock Paper Scissors Photography for sharing this awesome session with us Credit: Rock Paper Scissors Photography
