We bet you've never seen a wedding quite like this one! The couple - and all their guests - dressed the part and they got married on an actual pirate ship docked near London Bridge. Tracy and Dave live on a narrowboat and decided to push their nautical life to its most playful extreme for their wedding. The Golden Age of Piracy gave them everything they needed as inspiration.

Camilla and Jos had been together fifteen years before deciding to get married, so the day felt less like a beginning and more like stepping into a story already in motion. They didn’t want a wedding that relied on a single theme or colour palette. They wanted something that matched the way they move through the world together. Camilla likes cities and noise. Jos prefers quiet places and the outdoors. They leaned into that difference instead of trying to smooth it out.

With a theme of red string, and a nod to Corpse Bride, Anna and Dani's day felt more like a gathering of artists, misfits and rebels than a wedding. Anna told us, "We spoke about getting married for the first time while we were in Morocco last year. As we were finishing, we were playing with the red wires holding the bags of flatbreads together, bent them into rings, and went on to wear them for weeks until they broke. They would be replaced with red string, and later, red line tattoos. We later found out about the red string of fate story which says you have a string running from your heart, out of your finger, connecting you to your soulmate."

Emma and Steven's wanted their wedding to feel personal and very much in sync with their own story. Their theme of "colourful-retro-city-chic" was woven throughout with nods to family, music, and memories. They had their ceremony at The Old Marylebone Town Hall and a casual pub reception, and the bride wore her mother's dress. In total they spent less than £10,000 but still had the wedding day of their dreams.

Part elopement, part micro wedding, Brenda and Nick wanted to get married abroad, but not entirely on their own. Rather than eloping just the two of them, the couple, who are from Wisconsin, invited eight of their best friends to come to England with them as their bridal party! Brenda chose autumnal colours for the faux flower bouquets and her bridesmaids' dresses, which perfectly suited the October weather in London.

Ana and Chris met on OK Cupid, bonding quickly over their mutual love of travel. Ana was actually Chris' first online date and six years later they were married! They wanted their day to be non-traditional, full of colour and to have lots of nods to recent travels (Ana's dress had custom embroidered patches on it of things directly inspired by some locations they've visited together – Easter Island, Singapore, Mexico… and of course, London, where they now live).

Jordan and Ed had a wedding in three parts. They had a late start time so the bride could start the day by doing a 5k run (as she does every Saturday). They then had their ceremony at 4pm at Asylum Chapel followed by a 'Great British knees up' style reception at a local pub. Jordan had also bought two outfits - a more traditional dress and a Catherine Deane jumpsuit - and she didn't decide which she was wearing until about 30 minutes before the ceremony!
