Ella and Brian pulled loosely from 70s motifs for their Indianapolis wedding, but mostly focused their planning on atmosphere they wanted to create. “Our biggest goal was to curate a vibe - fun, colourful, laid-back, open-hearted, and full of love", Ella said. "We wanted our friends to become friends with our other friends they didn’t know yet. We wanted it to feel like a PARTY, not a stuffy event that you HAVE to go to. The main references for Christie and Kevin's wedding were The Shining, the 1970s and 1990s with lots of ideas pulled from Rock n Roll Bride magazine! Dalton and Tanieka had originally planned for a big wedding. But when costs started to spiral and what they started to feel out of touch with what they were putting together, it was time for a rethink. They instead planned something much more intimate and much more them, built around places that already carried the atmosphere they wanted. The Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach in Olympic National Park, WA were the perfect spots. With moss hanging from trees and fog moving over the ocean, it was the perfect setting for their moody, gloomy 'til death' themed day.

Their wedding was a whimsical garden party dream come true. Merritt and Brady filled a friend's back garden with twinkly lights, disco balls, and so many flowers that it felt like stepping into a fairytale. What started as a plan to elope turned into a backyard celebration, thanks to dear friends who offered to host them. They spent four months pouring love (and a lot of labour) into making it perfect.
