When Rock n Roll Bride first launched, it wasn’t just about weddings - it was about rebellion. It was about creating a space where love didn’t come with rules or limits. It was about standing against what we didn’t like when we planned our own wedding (way back in 2007!) - the elitism, the unnecessary expense, the cookie cutter way of just doing things because someone says you “have to”. Over the years, we’ve broken traditions, championed individuality, and built an incredible community of weirdos, outsiders, and people who felt the same. This change has been a long time coming (we've had our previous branding since we started the magazine in 2015!) and we could not be more thrilled with how it turned out! The venue for Summer and Iby's wedding, Smoked Garage, is an old motorcycle repair shop tucked away in the heart of Brisbane. It still houses bikes between the furniture, so it was a truly fitting setting for a car-loving groom and an artist bride. “We wanted something colourful, unique and a little bit vintage,” Summer told us. “Smoked Garage suited our style perfectly and let us and our guests relax – nothing too fancy.”

They chose to exchange vows at the top of Wallowa Lake Tramway, surrounded by views of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, wearing lace from Andie’s late mother’s dress. After the ceremony led by a punk poet friend, they ended the day racing go-karts!
