At Barcelona Bridal Week earlier this year, there was one collection stopped us in our tracks. WONÁ Concept unveiled three new collections during its runway presentation, but it was the Heritage Edition that stayed with us. Made up of 25 couture looks, the collection celebrates the craftsmanship of WONÁ Atelier through sculptural silhouettes, intricate corsetry, fluid draping and dramatic trains. They even unveiled three new striking black designs, adding a darker edge we always love, without losing any of the couture elegance.
During the reception afterwards, we got chatting to Charlotte and Ash from Charlotte Elizabeth Bridal, who had fallen just as hard for the collection and were already planning to bring it into their boutique. As it often does in our line of work, somewhere between the cocktails and canapés, the conversation turned into plans for a shoot.

Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol was the perfect location to bring our ideas to life. Opened in 1839, its winding woodland paths, Grade II listed monuments and overgrown Victorian landscape created the backdrop we’d imagined from the moment the first model stepped onto the runway in Barcelona. The contrast between couture craftsmanship and all that weathered stone made every look feel exactly where it belonged.

And yes, before you ask, you really can get married there! Imagine exchanging your vows inside their Victorian chapel, then wandering through centuries of history for your portraits. It’s all very Morticia and Gomez.
You can now try on the new WONÁ Atelier Heritage Collection at Charlotte Elizabeth Bridal, based in Matlock, Derbyshire. For more information or to book an appointment visit their website.
