Faith & Joe didn’t have much time to plan their wedding, especially as they live in Portland but chose to have the event in California as lots of their friends and family lived here. They also decided to do the whole thing in a super thrifty way. This however, led them to have a truly unique, personal DIY wedding. Friends and family also helped them out wherever they could with her Mum making the cake, the dried flowers for the bouquets, boutonnieres and decorations being donated and Faith getting her gorgeous dress from a thrift store, adding the tulle and brown sash herself and even making her own veil.
This has got to be one of the sweetest and most stylish DIY weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing with you all.

Southend Pier Wedding: Lorna & Dave
May 25, 2013
Lorna & Dave were married in Southend in April. Their ceremony took place at The Culture Centre, right on the pier, and their reception was at Ocean Beach, a restaurant on the beach. "The theme for our wedding was British seaside with a touch of vintage", wrote Lorna. "The beautiful blue sky and sunshine really made the day that extra bit special. It was amazing! The children were able to run about and play on the beach at the reception and the view from the decking at Ocean Beach was incredible."
Smoke Bombs, Hippy Buses and Incredible Cornish Views: Antonia & Harvey
October 7, 2013
Antonia and Harvey had a three day wedding at Roskilly's Ice Cream Farm in Cornwall. Their wedding was a true labour of love, with the couple and their friends and family working hard to create the wedding of their dreams. The weekend happened to be the hottest of the year which couldn't have been more perfect for their outdoor, ice cream farm celebration!
Jamie & Miguel’s Sleepy Hollow, Dark Wonderland Carnival Wedding
December 13, 2010
I sneak peeked Jamie & Miguel’s wedding on my facebook page as soon as I got a sniff of how awesome their wedding was going to be. I am now so thrilled to now share the whole cantata (in all its glory) with you today! They certainly haven’t disappointed.
Pin Wheels, Paper Flags, Tattoos & Love: Christina & Paul
June 28, 2012
now. I've tried to quit it but then he keeps luring me back with emails like "Heygirl, you're gonna LOVE this wedding!" and then I'm right back again...all smitten and stuff.
That's exactly what happened when I saw Christina & Paul's epic wedding. I've died and gone to Rock n Roll wedding heaven.
A Big Sur Wedding at The Henry Miller Library: Sabeena & Ryan
October 1, 2012
Ahh Big Sur. In the early part of my wedding blogging career I had no idea what this 'Big Sur' was... a magical sounding place that all the other wedding bloggers spoke of so often. And then finally I realised the obsession.
These Californain mountains are picturesque. And overlooking the Pacific ocean. Is it any wonder they're such a popular spot for weddings? Come on English mountains... step it up a bit...
Rainbow Bright Wedding By The Sea: Kerry & Max
July 21, 2014
Kerry and Max's rainbow wedding was held at Poplar Farm in Sutton on Sea. They wanted to incorporate two of their biggest loves (colour and the sea!) and they did that by staying true to what they wanted and getting crafty and creative with their choices.
Rustic Californian Ranch Wedding: Heidi & Nathan
Made You Look Studio
February 28, 2013
I know having favourites is bad... especially in my game... but, honestly, if I was held at gun point and asking to choose, I might be swayed towards Made U Look Photography. They are, without a doubt, some of the sweetest and most talented babes about. I love them endlessly and their photography fills my heart with joy.
So obviously getting a submission from Christina, Alie & Marielle is a red letter day in my book. I feel like all my Christmases have come at once when I first clap eyes on stunning wedding images like this:
Beach Front Wedding with the Bride Arriving on a Zipline: Joanna & Stephen
October 25, 2013
Well here's something you don't see everyday! The wedding of Joanna and Stephen was held at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, but instead of just walking down the aisle, Joanna and her father zipwired from the clifftop above down on to the beach. AH-MAZING!
