Didn't I tell you I had a lot of amazingness to catch up on? This is what happens when I have to hold off posting for just one day! Jenn & Graham had these crazy portraits taken on their actual wedding day as they decided to set enough time on the day to get some amazing shots (that's got to be every photographer's dream right!?) I adore Jenn's organic dress, it is just so stunning and of course it goes without saying that the bike shots, the Groom style (hot!) and the superhero cake topper are awesome! This has got to be one of the coolest weddings ever! Thanks to Erin of Fuller Edge Photography for sharing!

Whoa what a lot of votes we've had for the Tinywater contest winners so far! That is amazing - and only 1 day down! I held off posting yesterday to give the voting the best chance at the top spot so I now have some catching up to do. Check out this Anglo-American wedding, where the American Groom even did the right thing and asked the Bride's parents permission to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage. Cute! Last post for today... this just landed in my inbox and oooh how pretty and fun these are. Anthea & Andrew started their wedding celebrations with a low key country style rehearsal meal complete with Anthea in a super cute gingham print dress, which lead nicely in to their vintage style wedding day, where Andrea's personal sense of style took centre stage again. Her beautiful dress was re-created from her Mother's wedding dress, and who can't but smile when they see the photographs of the couple with the crazy straw-glasses!? Jessica, these are fabulous. Genuine Vintage Style

I get super excited when I find weddings like this, and I get even more excited when the couple send me all the juicy details so I can share them with you all. Sarah & Colin chose some really special details to make their vintage wedding just right. Sarah's ridiculously beautiful dress was a genuine 1950's vintage find from a small shop in Lambertville NJ, and her shoes, which perfectly match her dress, were from Anthropologie. Colin wore a J Crew suit with a pocket square that belonged to his Grandfather. The couple also went DIY crazy, making the invites, the name cards, and the table numbers themselves, Colin said to me "We spent way to much time using one of those round corner cutters! It hurt my fingers" but I think it was definitely worth it, the result is just gorgeousness. Finally the flowers were put together by generous friend and family helpers, gotta love them! A huge thank you to Amanda and Carina of Love Me Do Photographyfor sending me the images, and to Newlyweds Sarah & Colin for sharing their wonderful day with us.

What's not to love about this wedding? Amanda & Clint have been massive fans of vintage 1940's and 50's styling for as long as they care to remember, to what's a better style of wedding for them as this? Amanda's vintage reproduction dress is perfectly accompanied by her Groom in his traditional kilt (with a decidedly untraditional twist) and her Bridesmaids in their stunning black and red pin up halter style dresses. I am also loving their car, their polka dot themed reception and of course that fabulous cake...my favourite layer has got to be the 'tattoo design' layer...just hottness!

The weekends are slow internet days...it's almost like everybodyhas better things to do than spend their days off looking at pretty things online! Unfortunately for me I don't get the weekends off so still spend lonely hours online scouring the web for some weddingy gorgeousness to share with you all. When this video landed in my inbox I knew from the first second of watching it that I'd feature it. Why? The Power Of Love baby! The hubby as I walked back up the aisle to this tune on our wedding day so not only did it bring all those lovely weddingyfeelings back for me, but it's just a damn good song. We chose it for our own wedding as my favourite film of all time is Back to The Future, and I think Courtney & David's wedding has this same feel of retro gorgeousness. Anyone remember what my favourite ever wedding dress was? Well to refresh your memory (or maybe introduce you for the first time) it was this amazing multi-coloured, multi-layered crazy gorgeous 'Lustful' dress...and I just found out it was custom made by Stephanie James Couture. I just had to share this vital piece on information with you all as I have had so many emails ever since I posted that dress asking who made it..and now you know. I also started browsing Stephanie's blog and wowzer has this girl made some crazy-gorgeous dresses or what? Check out this 'Audrey' dress as worn by Tiffany on her wedding day.

Glamour. Pure unadulterated glamour. From the gorgeous Bride and her girls all in their stunning custom made hairpieces from Heather Mandin to the Groom and his boys arriving at Grouse Mountain (the Peak of Vancouver) in a helicopter, the whole day just screams magnificence! It goes without saying that the locations is spectacular, but it's the ridiculous fun they look like they had that does it for me. Thank you to photographer Gracci for sharing the love with Rock n Roll Bride.

One Damn Cool Wedding

That is the only way I can describe this wedding. I am swooning as I type away. Jenny & Johnny are way too stylish and way too cool, their hair ROCKS (I wish I had the balls for a cut like Jenny's - mohawks are hot!) and of course their tattoos look awesome (Jenny is a hairdresser and Johnny is a tattoo artist, can you tell!?) In fact I don't think their is anything I don't like about this wedding - Jenny's vintage dress = gorgeous, the flower girl = cute (dress from etsy) the ring ninja (oh yes, no ring bearers here) = beyond wicked. One of my favourite details had got to be their unique guest 'book', an original piece art work designed by Johnny of the two of them, that each guest signed. The couple tied the knot in Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids. There had never been a wedding held here before as it is usually used for concerts and festivals in the summer and as an ice rink in winter. A scholoristic wedding with a Best Girl rocking it in a top hat is something to be shared. Sharon & Dan definitely went all out to make sure their wedding was truly original, even so far has having the one of a kind 1925 Studebakeras their wedding transport. They also had a theologian conduct their ceremony which was written with the work of Lord Byron, William Morris and Walt Whitma in mind. I have something to say and it may be shocking to some of you...I don't 'get' Martha Stewart...what is they fascination? I'm just as crafty as the next geek but something about her repulses me just a little bit. Maybe it's because the first time I ever heard of her was when she went to jail (I'm in the UK, not Mars by the way) or because whenever I catch her on Wedding TV (yes I am that sad...) I feel inclined to run away. I mean, she's not very rock n roll is she? However, I just saw this wedding on her ridiculously kitch (although it pains me to know it's not even in an ironic way) wedding website, and despite the source this wedding is so uber gorgeous that I have to share the love. John & Lily married in Lily's parent's back garden which had great sentimental value for the couple. Lily's beautiful bouquet was made of bridal garden roses, dahlias, orchids, lily of the valley, jasmine, sweetpeas, and scented geranium, all tied together with a cute blue ribbon. She also ordered some custom Liberty fabric clutches for her Bridesmaids, each designed to fit the individual girl's personality. Photographers Craig & Chanelle Segerius-Bruce met Andy & Kim way back in 2007 in South Africa, when they (the photographers) were on their own honeymoon. The wedding took place at Parley Manor in Dorset and Kim wore a Benjamin Roberts dress. My favourite of all these images, has to be the Jeff Newsom-inspired swirly light shot..mean, moody and very very cool. I am doing a photo shoot with Chanelle soon..I am very excited about it as the concept we have come up with is quite different to what you might be seeing everywhere else right now...hint: I'm getting all crafty with black tulle!

If Ginny & Ed's vintage wedding isn't featured on every wedding blog out there I will eat my..well, hat. Does photographer Josh Goleman get the best clients or what?! Remember these guys for example? Yep...amazing! Although my automatic reaction is usually to be against the idea of asking guests to dress as per the theme of your wedding, I have to admit the effect of everyone vintaged-up together is phenomonal to say the least. I am literally dying of excitement to share these!

Tina & Derek's engagements in a burnt out house are so. damn. cool! I am loving the fireplace, the awesome chair and the feather. These have such an intense beauty to them...much love! Photographer Jen Arthur also shot some post wedding portraits as the couple eloped so didn't have pro wedding photographs, which I can't wait to see too.

I am slightly reluctant to say this is one of my favourite, rustic, outdoorsy, shabby chic weddings ever as I seem to be saying things like that a lot..but I kinda can't help it. I adore every single details about this wedding, from the cute (almost kitch!) Mr&Mrs balloons to the Bride's stunning dress and shoes (shoes from Nordstrom, details on the dress to come once the couple get back from Honeymoon!) Okey dokey I think this most be the last post for today because I appear to have gone a little overboard in the old blogging department plus I am secretly hoping the hubby will be taking me out on a date tonight! These are an amazing set to round the day off with however as I got the cutest email accompanying the submission from Bride-to-be Soila Elena, who said: Hello Kat Let me start off by saying I'm your biggest blog stalker. I recently had my bridal session done with the coolest Angela D Photography- I told her what I wanted and showed her some of your posts and we went to work- I'll be married soon and so I asked her not to post any with my face and she did a great job! I hope you like them -because I loved them and it was because of you, so thank you very much. Now come on, am I gonna really say no to that!? After featuring Jess & Dana’s amazing engagements and wedding this morning I feel I need to continue the theme with Ben and Jessamy's urban retro inspired affair.
