When Rock n Roll Bride first launched, it wasn’t just about weddings - it was about rebellion. It was about creating a space where love didn’t come with rules or limits. It was about standing against what we didn’t like when we planned our own wedding (way back in 2007!) - the elitism, the unnecessary expense, the cookie cutter way of just doing things because someone says you “have to”. Over the years, we’ve broken traditions, championed individuality, and built an incredible community of weirdos, outsiders, and people who felt the same. But over time, something started to feel… off.

WAKE UP, we have news! No, your eyes do not deceive you: Rock n Roll Bride has a hot new look! This change has been a long time coming (we've had our previous branding since we started the magazine in 2015!) and we could not be more thrilled with how it turned out! Another big change is that from now on, every issue of the magazine will be limited edition. It's a more sustainable approach that means we will only need to print what is actually being ordered. The difference to you is that you will now need to pre-order yours when they drop (or subscribe) to guarantee getting a copy.

Flowers are great but let’s be honest, when it comes to weddings, floral trends can sometimes feel like they’ve been done to death. In this industry, trends tend to stick around for a while, and we’ve seen it all: lush moss and greenery dominating one season, dried flowers or bright pops of monochromatic colour taking over the next. There was even the surge of faux florals and reusing what we already had, such as houseplants, when budgets tightened during the pandemic.

Celebrating a Decade in Print!

I can’t quite believe we've reached a whole decade of Rock n Roll Bride in print! What started as a blog to document my own wedding (back in 2008!) evolved into a yearly print annual, then was taken over by a major publishing company while we launched the bi-monthly version. I quickly realised I liked being my own boss too much though so that didn’t last long – I’m proud to say this has been a self-funded, self-published, completely independent magazine since mid-2015!

An issue dedicated to colour was well overdue, so when we were invited to Las Vegas by P3 Events to shoot the editorial for this edition to celebrate the opening of their new downtown wedding chapel, we knew we needed to go neon. Hot, sexy pink and eye-gauging green are such an unusual combination for a wedding but I think you’ll agree it absolutely, definitely works!
