Us Against The World: An Arizonian Abandoned Desert Town Elopement

Sam and Vince both lead, by their own admission, ‘annoyingly busy lives’. They live in Las Vegas, but when it came to planning their wedding day, they wanted to do something simple, in their favourite place on earth – Jerome, Arizona.

“We frequent Jerome and the surrounding red rock of Sedona often,” said Sam. “During our first holiday together years ago we instantly fell in love with Jerome’s eerie but cosy feel. It’s this small, old mining town on the desert-y mountainside that has burned down to the ground at least three times—and it’s probably haunted. We have a long history of celebrating momentous occasions in Jerome – we even got engaged there in 2017, so there was really nowhere else in the world we would’ve wanted to celebrate our lifelong commitment to each other.”

Artistic, Laidback, Backyard Style Wedding with Tacos and Succulents

Jocelyn and Nathan met when Nathan was playing in a band and Jocelyn happened to be at one of their shows. After locking eyes before Nathan headed on stage, Jocelyn did what any good millennial would do – found him on Facebook to say hey… and the rest, as they say is, history!

When it came to planning their wedding day, they were heavily inspired by the look and feel of the events that their venue, Workshop, Pittsburgh, were already holding, so used that as a starting off point. With it’s art-covered walls and whiskey lounge basement it had all the makings of a unique venue, so aside from dressing the hell out of it with flowers, they let the space do the talking!
