Off-Duty Showgirl: Las Vegas Bridal Editorial for Rock N Romance Elopements

Phew, where do we even begin with this one? A dream location, a dream team, and possibly the most over-the-top (in the best way) bridal looks we’ve ever put together. Everything really is better in Las Vegas.

When Rock n Romance Elopements invited us to fly out to Sin City for an editorial takeover, they didn’t have to ask twice. What followed was a full day of pure Vegas vibes. Sequins in a dusty parking lot, couture tulle in a convenience store freezer aisle, and a crystal-covered bodysuit sparkling under that stunning Nevada golden light…

We were keen to find spots around the city that aren’t shot a lot. When you published as many Vegas elopements as we do, we tend to see photos taken in the same places over and over. Those spots are iconic and have to be done, but we wanted to think outside the box a little bit.

We started the day by shooting inside one of the city’s most iconic retro penthouses, Jackie Gaughan suite at El Cortez, which comes complete with blush-pink marble and enough ruffled curtains to make your nan weep.

We then found a mini supermarket which let us take over for a few hours.

An outdoor mall that pretty much had no open stores except one absolutely hopping Nigeran restaurant (the food must be great!) was a great, unexpectedly very cool location for this look.

This outfit was probably our collective fave and ended up making the cover. Those gems on the bodysuit just SHONE in the Vegas sunshine!

We then came across the abandoned carpark of the boarded up Silver Nugget Casino… This Hayley Paige dress was a DREAM COME TRUE to shoot. How lucky are we?

We ended the day at the iconic and only slightly creepy Circus Circus. Did you know they have a full retro arcade with all the classic carnival games out back!?

Readers always ask us about the vibe on set, so here’s the truth: it was fast (shooting six looks in one day at multiple locations is no mean feat!), sweaty, hilarious, and absolutely unforgettable. We ran through casinos, dodged tourists, lost track of how many times we said “just one more shot,” and ended the day sticky with hairspray and high on serotonin.

And yes… it was completely worth flying 5,000 miles for.

Basically, this editorial is what happens when you let creatives do what they do best in a city that never apologises for being extra. Vegas, we love you.
