Debbie and Masty met at 18-years-old while they were in college studying Psychology. They dated, then drifted apart as life moved forward. More than a decade passed without contact. Then, on the same night, they dreamed about each other. Masty reached out and they decided to reunite in Las Vegas at a Metallica concert. You can probably guess the rest…

“Meeting up after all that time was instant chaos in the best way”, Debbie told us. “It was like no time had passed. We fell back into it fast, reckless, and wildly in love.”

When they came to marry, Vegas was the only choice that made sense. They eloped, hiring Rock n Romance Elopements to help them plan a suitable rock ‘n’ roll appropriately event. “Our elopement was a rock ‘n’ roll elopement wrapped in Vegas chaos”, she continued. “The inspiration was the city where we fell in love again, our shared obsession with music, and a whole lot of 80s rock star attitude.”

They removed almost every expected wedding structure. They went to Vegas by themselves and were married by Elvis at the iconic Little White Wedding Chapel. Elvis sang Can’t Help Falling in Love and they exchanged personal vows. When Elvis learned that Masty is a musician who plays in a band, the two connected instantly and closed the ceremony by singing Viva Las Vegas together. It was unplanned and spontaneous.

After the ceremony, the city became their reception. They moved through Las Vegas with their photographer, Jamie Y, with no fixed destination, stopping wherever the moment pulled them. Neon lights, street noise, and strangers congratulating them created an atmosphere that felt alive. Debbie had followed Jamie’s work for years and knew she wanted someone who understood their energy to capture their day “Jamie understood what we wanted for our day,” Debbie said. “She is cool as hell. Her vision, her edge, her ability to capture not just images but energy is unreal. I’ve been low-key obsessed with her work for years, and somehow, she still managed to completely blow us away. If you want photos that feel alive, emotional, and unapologetically you, she’s it.”

Planning an elopement, rather than a big wedding, required them to block out outside opinions. But they didn’t regret it for a moment. “Everyone has an opinion about what a wedding is supposed to be, and staying true to your own vision takes intention,” Debbie concluded. “We’re proud to be part of the Vegas wedding tradition. Following in the footsteps of our idols – from Bon Jovi to Pamela Anderson, Travis Barker, Frank Sinatra, and even Elvis Presley. It made us feel like we were part of the same legendary story. Experiencing that energy together brought us closer and reminded us that love should be completely our own.”
