Did you know you can get married at The Satanic Temple in Salem!? Ceremonies at their ‘Little Black Chapel’ are officiated by the temple’s Ministers of Satan and the space is already decked out in a dark red and black colour scheme, complete with candles and flowers, so you really can just show up and get married with very little stress.
That’s exactly what Aimee and Joe, who got married in December, wanted. They could arrive, focus on the ceremony, and leave without having to manage logistics or guests.

Joe’s is a professional wrestler, and they met at one of his shows. “We made eye contact and shortly after he messaged me on a dating app” Aimee told us. “We had our first date, it lasted ten hours and we’ve never looked back!”
After ten years together, they wanted a wedding that centred on their relationship rather than an event for other people. Their theme was simply, romance. “It was incredibly important to us to keep our love strong and ever lasting”, Aimee explained.

The ceremony was just the two of them, their self-written vows, and the moment they were committing to. “Our ceremony was beautiful”, Aimee said. “We exchanged vows that we each wrote. My husband’s were beautiful and filled with promises and love. Mine were about keeping our future strong and cherishing the moments we’ve made over the years. We both cried a lot.”

There was no reception or after party. Once the ceremony ended, the day was complete. They wanted the experience to remain simple and just for them. “Do what makes you happy”, the bride concluded, “A wedding is about the couple not everyone else”.
