We always kick off the year with a little re-introduction. It’s become something of a tradition around here which feels ironic for a brand that exists to question tradition at every turn. But here we are.
Whether you got engaged over the festive period, or you’ve been engaged for a while and the arrival of a new year has finally made you get your arse in gear and start thinking about this whole wedding thing properly, we’re really glad you found us.
If you’re feeling excited, overwhelmed, resistant, confused, buzzing, or all of the above, you’re in the right place.
Who We Are

First things first. Here’s what you need to know about us.
Rock n Roll Bride is run by a tiny team of creatives who genuinely adore the alternative wedding world and the couples who move through it. I’m Kat, founder and editor, and I started Rock n Roll Bride back in 2007 while planning my own wedding to Gareth, who now very officially handles IT support and logistics. It was born out of frustration and a desire to see weddings that represented actually unique ideas in a world that felt very elitist and not at all welcoming for those of us who didn’t feel like they fit in.
Everyone who works with us is a friend first and a colleague second. We collaborate. We hype each other up. We care deeply about what we make. This isn’t a content farm. It’s a passion project that we’re so lucky actually pays the bills too!
Rock n Roll Bride exists to celebrate rule breaking weddings. We champion individuality, inclusivity, and self-expression, whether your love story is loud or low-key, punk or pastel, budget or bougie, queer, neurodivergent, DIY, design-led, or gloriously undefinable. This is a space for the dreamers, the weirdos, the outsiders, and anyone who refuses to shrink themselves to fit a tradition that doesn’t feel like them.
We’re not here to follow trends.
We’re here to represent the underrepresented.
Louder, prouder, and weirder than ever.
What We Do

Our website and social channels are updated daily with real weddings, fashion, advice, opinion pieces, supplier spotlights and resources that actually reflect the world couples are living in right now.
We publish a print magazine because we believe offline still matters. It’s slower. It’s intentional. It doesn’t disappear into an algorithm. Each issue is packed with exclusive content you won’t find online, created for people who want to sit with their ideas rather than scroll past them.
We also work with brands and businesses across the alternative wedding and creative industries, creating thoughtful content, editorial shoots, campaigns, and collaborations that don’t talk down to couples or treat them like a demographic.
How You Can Get Involved

If you like what we do, the simplest way to support us is to read, share, and engage with our content. It genuinely helps more than you might think. You’ll find us across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest, shouting loudly about weddings that don’t play by the usual rules.
Subscribing to the magazine is one of the best ways to support Rock n Roll Bride. It keeps this whole thing alive and gives you access to content that exists away from screens. Offline is cooler. We’ll die on that hill.
I also wrote a book!. Yes, I’m somewhat biased, but it truly is a bullshit-free guide for anyone planning an alternative, personality-driven wedding. It’s practical, honest, and designed to pull you back to your own instincts when Pinterest starts shouting at you. You can buy it anywhere books are sold, but purchasing directly from us supports independent media and I’ll happily sign it for you.
If you’re a brand or business and want to work with the kinds of couples we attract, we offer online listings, social media features, print advertising, and bespoke creative projects. We also help bring ideas to life through events, activations, editorial shoots, and content creation. Drop us an email and we’ll talk options.
And if you’ve already had your wedding, we’d love to see it. Submitting your day for potential publication is one of the ways this community keeps growing and evolving.
Thank you for being here

Thank you for supporting independent media. And thank you for wanting to do things differently in a world that increasingly rewards conformity.
Choosing to celebrate your love on your own terms is a quietly radical act. We’re honoured to be part of it.
