Darkly Devoted: A Soft Goth Bridal Editorial for Rock n Roll Bride Magazine

September 11, 2025

This latest shoot from our editorial team, was part of our wider exploration into quieter forms of rebellion. This is your reminder that you don’t have to go all-out goth to be an alternative bride!

Shot on location at Crowcombe Court in Somerset, we paired gothic undertones with fine art photography, using soft layers of lace to create a mood that felt romantic, restrained, and just a little haunted.

We wanted to explore what happens when bridal styling leans into restraint. There’s darkness here, yes – but it’s gentle and rooted in natural beauty. Because being yourself is not always loud and it’s not always about high impact or lots of drama. Sometimes it’s as simple as feeling comfortable in your skin, wearing something that feels like you, and not needing to prove anything to anyone.

You can also see the shoot featured in issue 64 of the magazine, on sale now.
