Going to a wedding fair is a bit of rite of passage when you get engaged. There are some incredible ones (and, let’s be honest, some not-so-great ones), and it can be quite confusing to know which ones are going to be worth your time as an alt couple. But fret not, we are here to help. Avoid the soulless, big, bland, corporate shows and check out these little beauties instead!
The Quirky Wedding Fayre

The Quirky Wedding Fayre brings together a carefully curated mix of creative, inclusive wedding suppliers who do things their own way and actively welcome couples who don’t fit the traditional mould.
Every fayre is held in a fully accessible venue and built around a zero judgement ethos. That applies to everyone in the room, from suppliers to visitors, creating a genuinely safe and welcoming space to explore ideas without pressure.
They’ve also put real thought into how wedding fairs can feel for people who find crowds and noise overwhelming. Every Quirky Wedding Fayre includes a ticketed Quirky Quiet Hour, designed for those who are neurodivergent, anxious, or simply prefer a calmer environment. During this hour there’s no loud music, no harsh lighting, limited capacity, and no obligation to chat. Suppliers will only engage if you choose to.
And it’s pet friendly. Dogs are welcome, and past visitors have even brought cats, ferrets and a snake!
