Sure Thing Chapel (and their second location, Sure Thing Too) in Las Vegas has become somewhat of a pilgrimage spot for alt couples who want a kitsch, quirky Vegas wedding. We see a lot of weddings in this space. We’ve featured weddings with rhinestones, leather, Hellvis, pink suits, black veils and every combination possible. Then Zuza and Marcin walked in and the way Tree of Life Films & Photos captured them almost shifted the room into something new. We are totally obsessed with these photos and we think you will be too.

The couple arrived from Poland with the mission to renew their vows in a way that celebrated them, not a crowd. Three years earlier they had a big wedding back home, and while it was meaningful, the noise of it overtook some parts of the day. “Back in Poland our wedding was indeed very special, but it was so much hassle that we didn’t remember much of it and it was rather exhausting to host many people and not just enjoy ourselves,” they explained.

This redo was stripped right back. They didn’t have any pre-written vows and just used one song – Permanating by Steven Wilson. “It was a very special moment”, Zuza explained. “We didn’t want to write anything in advance, we wanted to speak from our hearts in the moment. We didn’t really have to care about anything else.”

They strutted out of the chapel as if stepping into a music video. Champagne in hand. Cake eaten siting on the street. A random staircase in a casino was turned into an epic portrait location. “We wanted to look like rockstars!” they said “And Vegas was the ideal place for that. We loved that we had time for ourselves and we didn’t really have to care about anything else.”

“In Poland it took us many months to prepare even with our wedding planner… Tasting dishes, choosing the location, making and sending invitations, that all took a lot of time. Vegas gave us the opposite. It was just so simple to arrive at the chapel ten minutes before ceremony and we didn’t have to care about a damn thing! Both our photographers and the chapel were amazing. They made us feel very comfortable and made the stress go away very fast. We felt taken care of.”
