Rockshow Romance: Music Lovers’ Rock Concert Wedding

The Tattooed Bride

December 12, 2025

Sara and Caleb’s wedding vibe was centered around their love of music. They wanted it to feel like a party or a concert. “A rockstar vibe was the goal, and live music was the inspiration”, the bride said. “Also a sort of dive bar vibe.”

Having been to a lot of weddings before, the couple really wanted to lean into doing something different, and something that felt like them. Music shapes their lives and so having a live rock band was a non-negotiable. It ended up being their biggest cost, but also their favourite thing they did, so they didn’t regret it for one moment. It made the day feel like a real concert.

“I wanted to keep the rockstar/concert theme throughout every part – our welcome sign was written like a run of show poster, we called our wedding favours the ‘merch table’ for the favours, we had a temporary tattoo station, and fun star glasses to hand out that each guest took a picture in. My proudest moment though was our seating chart – we got light up letters that spelled out Will Call Tickets, and hanging from it was a ‘concert ticket’ for each guest telling them where their seat was!”

Even the ceremony stayed aligned with their theme. Ben from SideQuest played electric guitar while Sara walked in. “I couldn’t imagine walking down to any sort of track, having a live musician just felt so ‘us’.” Her Uncle Bob officiated and kept it short – in fact they skipped the vows completely. “We wanted to keep the ceremony short and sweet so we could move on to the fun party – dinner and the show!”

The night ended on form – with everyone piling into a party bus to end the night at a dive bar. “My advice would literally be to just do what you want to do!” Sara concluded. “Don’t worry about what is ‘tradition’ or what others may think. Our wedding felt completely and authentically us and it’s just because we focused on what was important to us. The day should truly feel like a party!”
