Chloe and Benn wanted their wedding to be colourful and feel exactly like them. The bride loves flowers so that was one of the first things she thought about. To keep things informal, they served BBQ food family style, a cheesecake instead of a wedding cake, and had a tarot reader as entertainment.

“We invested a lot of money in flowers and went wild with colour!” Chloe told us. “Lots of people have complimented me on my colour scheme and having all the flowers possible. I am flower obsessed so each table was named after a flower and had that corresponding bloom. Our florist hit the nail on the head when it came to the brief, and encapsulated exactly what we wanted. It was us in a nutshell and a fun day filled with love.”

Their best friends sang the first dance song live. Benn and his daughter danced to Depeche Mode, and Chloe stood up and gave a speech. Plenty of their choices were practical and money-saving too. They bought their own frames and vases and put together children’s entertainment packs. Chloe even made the bridesmaid jackets, she found her shoes secondhand and sourced a lot of other pieces from Vinted.

“Weddings are expensive so the only thing we’d change about our day was how much it cost!” she concluded. “If we were to do it all over again we might have had a smaller wedding too, we were very tired by the end of the day and could not wait to get to bed!”
