Inspired by the work of artist Marc Chagall and loving the fluid feel of the abstract paintings, wedding photographer Rosie Anderson wanted to create something similar in a series of photographs. To get that same fluid feel on her camera she had a brainwave – shooting underwater!
“Tom and Gemma are childhood sweethearts, they had to work together and really looked after each other on this shoot”, she wrote. “What I realised is that the water closes the gap between people. There is no air getting in the way, no words – it’s all about that moment. Something really special happens underwater. It’s hard to put your finger on it but it was magical. I’m now hooked and am planning another underwater photo shoot soon!”
