Remember these wonderful
monochrome Bridals by Sarah Austin? Well Sarah has just sent me the wedding pictures. Hurrah! Chad and Valerie’s wedding took place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Ceremony was only 5 minutes long, and they kept it personal by only having about 80 guests of friends and family. They gave every guest a bottle of tequila as their party favor (I personally can’t stand tequila – bad experience as a 14 year old!) but I am loving the idea of alcoholic favours to get the party started!

Retro & Disney Inspired Wedding on Southend Pier
May 31, 2017
Charlotte and Jack's wedding had a really unique location - Southend Pier! The day had a retro theme with Disney references throughout. "Our wedding theme was 'Grease meets the Great British Seaside!'", said the bride. "We were inspired by lots of wedding blogs, especially Rock n Roll Bride! We saw so many couples who had a day that reflected them and that's what inspired us to plan a wedding that people would describe as completely us. Also, we saw so many weddings that looked like they and the guests were having a total blast, so we wanted to have a day full of fun!"

Private Island Retreat Wedding: Sana & Derek
April 8, 2013
Sana & Derek were married on an island. Artscape Gibraltar Point is located in the former Toronto Island Public and offers 35,000 square feet of affordable retreat space, artist studios and accommodations for artists and creative thinkers. The tranquil and idyllic setting was perfect for their intimate and artistic wedding. The day started with the entire wedding party taking the ferry over to the island together. "We knew immediately that we wanted to hold the wedding on the island - it's the perfect escape from Toronto, and a place where we have spent countless summer days swimming, biking and hanging out on the beach," wrote Sana. "Artscape had the perfect laid-back and nostalgic feeling that we wanted in a venue, and they even let us have a bonfire outside on the beach!"
Retro & Pin Up Inspired Beach Wedding in Mexico: KO & Bre
May 9, 2014
They were married on the beach at El Pez Tulum, a boutique ocean-front hotel, in Mexico. KO and Bre wanted their wedding to be a beachy pin up fairytale wedding and I think they achieved that wonderfully! The bride wore a vintage dress from the 1950s which she customised and had the skirt redesigned by Georgannette Chatterley. Her birdcage veil was also homemade.
Rockabilly Meets Mexican Fiesta Wedding
April 13, 2017
Mel and Lee met through mutual friends at a car show in 2010. They got talking about their cars and that was it! They wanted their wedding to reflect their day-to-day style and interests so, although Day of the Dead was their underlying theme, as far as everything else went, if they liked it they put it in the wedding! The end result was a Mexican fiesta, meets Day of the Dead, meets rockabilly wedding.
Tattoo Lovers’ Rockabilly Wedding
May 2, 2015
Kirsty met Oz when she went to work in his tattoo studio. "We're both tattoo artists and after several months of working together it became apparent that we were meant to be together", she told me. "Two years in, Oz popped the question. We spoke about our big day regularly, and we saved and saved like mad. After 12 months we decided to bite the bullet and book a date and venue. We continued to save and had some generous donations from loved ones to help us on our way."

Amanda & Nick has a super chic, totally personal, 1950's inspired wedding. From Amanda's cute polka dot dress from Unique Vintage to the beautiful retro style photography by Made u Look Photography (which even included one roll of black & white film from an old film camera - remember those!?) the whole day ooooozes authentic, rockabilly charm. I just know you're going to love it!
